Very friendly and helpful staff, a spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, and reliable hot water in the shower. I also liked the option to swap breakfast for lunch, which was very tasty and good value, although an additional tip is expected when choosing this option.

Very nice and friendly host, clean room, comfortable bed, breakfast included. I was leaving early, so the host prepared for me takeaway. The hotel is situated few minutes from the centre. Wifi was very good.

Amazing host and great stay

The accommodation is 10 minutes from the center. The room had everything I needed, including storage space (shelves and a coat rack), and there was a shared kitchen. The shared bathroom was clean. Parking was available directly in the courtyard of the accommodation or on the street. I got up early, but the owner always prepared a breakfast package for me, which I sometimes had for lunch.

“A wonderful little hostel that far exceeded my expectations”

The whole place looks new and the staff take trouble to maintain it well, polishing and scrubbing even the dining chair legs every morning. My private room was much nicer than the photos, and I was impressed at the attention to detail. Wooden hangars instead of plastic; shower curtain with separate liner; toothbrush holder; hairdryer; separate gas-powered water heater for every toilet guaranteeing unlimited hot water at any hour; pictures on the wall have not even a speck of dust (in the middle of this windy desert!). Extremely comfortable beds and pillows, and plenty of blankets. I didn't feel the need of a heater in August. Rooms are fully serviced everyday. Above all, the staff are kind, friendly and cheerful. Always ready to adapt to any special needs. A special thank you to the manager, for taking care of me when I got bitten by a stray dog. The place is about 10 mins slow walk from Caracoles, and completely silent at night. Their restaurant is very popular for their 8000 pesos 4-course lunch menus, which feature a selection of delicious local specialties that change everyday. I wish I could have stayed longer... the place had begun to feel like home.

Everything is great! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room is very clean, comfortable and spacious. The shower is hot and strong, definitely what we need in Atacama. The small kitchen is a big plus, it’s so clean and has everything you need for cooking, even a big refrigerator. The lunch (menu of the day) is amazing, we ate here almost everyday. The fresh juice is so good! The breakfast is great too, enough for us to start the day. We’re so glad we stayed here, highly recommended!!

“Excellent Service & Stay at La Tribu Del Indio”

I had an excellent stay at La Tribu Del Indio. The place is 300 meters from the bus station and about 5 blocks from the main strip of Calle Caracoles. The place is quiet, safe, excellently managed, comfortable accommodations, and very clean. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The owner helped me carry my luggage inside the property. Ronaldo, provided excellent customer service throughout my 5-day stay. It was as if I had a personal concierge with the services he provided. The facilities were cleaned daily and done well. A huge benefit is the free breakfast from the in-house restaurant, La Tribu Del Indio Restaurante. This restaurant served great lunch options through their "Menu Del Dia" selection at a very affordable price. Google rates this restaurant at 4.60 stars and you can see why; the restaurant is busy at lunch time with local regulars. I highly recommend this hostal to anyone visiting San Pedro de Atacama

“Great accommodation run by great people”

Very central, clean and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. The staff went above and beyond, I had a bike crash on the day of departure and they helped me with first aid as well as packing my bags and packing a breakfast to go in order to catch my bus on time.

“Great, well-maintained place”

Very clean and housekeeping done daily. Communal bathrooms kept clean. Access to fridge in communal kitchen was useful. Breakfast was great and very handy to have the restaurant there for lunch too, easy and good option to have the menu del día. Quiet location. Whilst a ten minute walk into town there are also restaurants nearby eg Sumaq.

Hostel located in quiet part of San Pedro and just few steps away from the main street. Very accommodated host who runs his own restaurant on site with delicious regional food.
