Great location near the centre of PD Atacama. Food served at lunch time very good with the restaurant having a good reputation locally. Nice rustic charm feel about the lodges. Small pools if you wanted a cold water swim and nice spa, where l had a massage.

Let’s jump to it. We really liked our hut, it was comfortable, clean and spacious and had good soundproofing. Our bone with Hotel Kimal is the price they are charging! We paid nearly AUD$900 for 3 nights which was nuts, even by San Pedro standards, for a hut that was actually across the road from the main accommodation. The staff, Sevla & Sol, were absolutely lovely and super helpful.

It was located well , had a nice restaurant and a nice pool area to sit around.

Quaint bungalow style rooms each with outdoor seating areas, on site bar and restaurant, property blended well with the area and surroundings, hotel arranged an airport transfer for us.

Many thanks to (I believe) Sevka who let me change my room from cottage to regular room. The cottages had quite some noise until after midnight due to music from neighboring restaurants. The regular rooms however are nice and quiet.

First of all the staff which did go above and beyond to help in all kinds of matters. The location was central but secluded, one could enjoy a leisurely afternoon by the pool or the own little veranda.

The reception staff were helpful and gave us suggestions of tour companies to use (we chose Atacama Magic👍). We didn’t actually have breakfast in the hotel due to early starts of the tours. However, they kindly provided us with breakfast packs to take with us - even at 5am! The room was comfortable and shower was good. I didn’t actually realise they had a business providing massages, etc until it was too late. They have a couple of pools. The restaurant looked good but we didn’t manage to eat there. However sitting in the pool area with a glass of wine in the evening was very pleasant. They kindly fill up your water bottle with filtered water. You check in through a QR code which seemed a bit manic at the time as there were quite a few travellers doing it at the same time. It made the start of the stay a bit impersonal but it did away with queuing to check in so it’s probably a positive. Great situation, close to the main street.

Excellent location. In the heart of town. Room was large and clean. Staff was responsive and helpful. They gave us an extra hour at the time of check out as we had a tour that morning.

Staff were lovely, very welcoming and helpful. Room was comfortable. Location was excellent, right on the main street so convenient for getting around. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller. I stayed in the "poblado" individual cabins which was so nice to have my own little outdoor space and in a beautiful peaceful orchard

“Wonderful Stay at Hotel Kimal — Cozy, Comfortable, and Amazing Service!”

I had an exceptional stay at Hotel Kimal in San Pedro de Atacama. I stayed in one of the bungalows “Kimal Pueblo” and absolutely loved it, peaceful, charming, and very comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax after long days exploring the desert. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and professional. One detail I especially appreciated was that at the end of the day, the cleaning lady would quietly pass by the room, prepare the bed for my return, and turn on the bedside lamps, such a thoughtful touch that made coming back feel so cozy and welcoming. The room itself was spotlessly clean, and the spa and hotel facilities were fantastic. The restaurant was also excellent, with delicious food and amazing service every time. I highly recommend Hotel Kimal for anyone visiting the Atacama Desert. I would definitely stay here again!
