This was a very nice suprise! The first day I arrived late (1am) and the whole communication through WhatsApp made me super secure that they’re expecting me and were attentive to me. As a woman traveling alone this felt very good and safe. Staff is really really nice, and it has a very familiar environment (hugs to Pedrito!!). The vibe of the hostel is chill and I met a lot of interesting and cool people (awesome vibe for solo travelers!). Everything is super clean, beds are really confy and warm, shower is really hot and the overall conditions were awesome. Breakfast is amazing and i loved that if you have an early tour they prepare breakfast to go (with bread, chocolate/cereal bar and a juice) - this is a very cute touch on their part. You have a mini market right on the side were you can buy everything you need, they have laundry service (paid), books to read and a nice kitchen to cook your meals. Lockers in the room (take your own locker, not sure if they sell it there), shelves to keep your items without having to unlock/lock everything everytime. This was a very good stay and I’ll for sure be back if I ever go to Atacama again!

Hostal Campo Base was simple, but clean and effective. It's well located and the tours I booked through the hostel was very well guided and resonably priced (in line with most travel companies).

The staff were very nice and accommodating. They would pack breakfast if tours left early, and let us leave our bags after checkout. The room was great and clean. It was close the town centre.

Lovely breakfast and clean facilities, definitely would recommend staying here as a base to explore Atacama. You can get breakfast to go if you're leaving early for a tour which is great. I met some fun people here too

“A great stay!”

This was such a lovely hostel to stay in. Nice communal areas to socialise with other guests, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable, very clean rooms. It was about 10mins walk to restaurants but that wasn’t a problem. Rodrigo was amazing, so helpful, the best communication and definitely cared about all of his guests checking in on us and asking hour tours were etc.

Good selection at breakfast and they provided a packed breakfast if you had an early tour. Only 5-10mins walk from town. They were able to organise airport transfers and laundry service.

It felt like a family home. Breakfast was really good, you always got fruit salad or backed breakfast. Walking distance from bus terminal.

Hostel helps you organize tours for around same prices as if you went to agencies. Since tours start early and you are likely to miss breakfast they prepare you lunchbag instead, which is super-cool. Generally cool place and dude running it is super-friendly.

There was very good breakfast ! I stayed in other places in San Pedro as well but this one was the best, all clean and well maintained. Perfect for backpackers!

I loved my stay at Campo Base in San Pedro de Atacama. The hostel is super clean, cozy, and the breakfast is great — the pancakes are amazing! If you have an early tour, they even prepare a little breakfast to-go, which is really nice. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help. They organize tours for you with pick-up and drop-off right at the hostel, which makes everything really easy. Overall, it really feels like a home away from home. I was really happy with my stay and totally recommend it!
