“Not worth the money”

Possibly the worst glamping experience of my life. Usually, people visit such places to escape the noise of the city, but not at Hawkay. When we arrived, the receptionist told us about the area, mentioning that we could take a boat ride, have dinner at the restaurant upstairs, and watch a movie in the evening. However, she somehow forgot to mention that having dinner wouldn’t be an option because the entire restaurant was booked for a private party. We went there anyway, waited about 20 minutes, and were eventually given a spare table with plastic chairs in a corner near the kitchen. We also had to wait for our food for half an hour because the kitchen was prioritizing the party, sending out 10 plates every 5 minutes. All of this was accompanied by unbearably loud music from the DJ, despite the fact that there were barely any people in the room at the time. If we had any alternative for dinner, we would have gone elsewhere. But the most interesting part came later. The movie ended around 9:30 PM, but the loud, pounding music from the restaurant, which could be heard everywhere—even through earplugs—continued until midnight or later. All the glamping guests were shocked, but no one could do anything about it. The cabins are wooden and provide no sound insulation whatsoever. I understand that events happen, but I absolutely don’t understand why guests aren’t informed about them when booking. Nor why no one warned us that, in addition to the noise, it would be impossible to have a proper dinner. We would’ve at least brought our own food. At 4 AM, some people started yelling right outside the cabins, causing dogs to bark, making it impossible to sleep again. In the end, we didn’t rest at all that night and felt even more exhausted. Maybe it’s peaceful and quiet here on weekdays, but this was our experience, and for that reason, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Well the breakfast was okay and the beds were comfortable, but that´s pretty much it.
