“Gorgeous setting, good food, comfortable rooms and super helpful staff!”

The hotel is very nice, located on Lake Atitlan, in a beautiful setting. The hotel offers a free kayak session on the lake. The gardens are beautifully laid out and maintained. The food served in the restaurant was very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. In particular, Rudy Mucia, was super! I needed to check out late the evening before leaving early the next day and he came from his home back to the hotel after hours to let me check out, and he did it with a smile!!

Great area with views across the lake. You could eat either inside or outside on the covered terrace. Nice choice of food delivered to your table. Free filtered water available outside the bedroom and beautiful grounds. Lovely wood carving headboard in the bedroom

What made the stay at Hotel Toliman exceptional, is the warmth of the people who are working there. They really care about the customers. On top, the hotel itself is very beautiful and the food and drinks in the restaurant were amazing.

Lovely staff, super attentive - best service we had anywhere we stayed in Guatemala! Beautiful gardens and an organic vegetable patch that they use to supply the restaurant.

The grounds of this hotel are spectacular! It is right by the dock, so it is easy to walk to the property. The restaurant is very reasonably priced, considering that there are not a lot of options for dining (we were on foot). The food is exceptional, and plenty of it comes from their organic garden, of which we had a lovely tour. The hotel website offers full details of how community minded and eco-friendly this business is. The pool looks odd because it is dark. However, I imagine it helps heat the water, along with the solar panels. If you are looking for a couple of days in paradise, this is the place. And the view from the restaurant 🤩

It’s paradise, not in a five star showy kind of way but in a wholesome, immersed in nature kind of way. I’ll miss the lovingly prepared breakfast overlooking the spectacular lake and mountain views and the luscious gardens set with a solar panel for the pool and veg garden for the organically homegrown food. The sweet staff make the place too. It’s off the beaten track in a non touristy part but that’s core to its charm.

We came here and immediately fell in love with this place! Everybody is exceptionally friendly, the restaurant stuff is super attentive. The lady who runs the place is such a sweetheart and you can tell that the personnel likes working here. The garden is fantastic and so is the setting. Try the free kayaks. It’s captivating to explore the Lake on your own.

Beautiful gardens, delicious drinks (juices and cocktails), excellent pool, kayaking on the lake, tour of the gardens and veg, natural feel, absolutely stunning view of the lake from the terrace and finally an excellent massage

“Warm and wonderful retreat on the quite side of the lake”

This is a gem. One of our favorite places to stay over 4 months travel to Central America. The location is amazing, in a small town that sees very little tourism, at the foot of Attilan volcano and right on the lake. The grounds are gorgeous, with a lovely pool and fantastic organic garden and plenty of hammocks. The restaurant is fabulous, we loved everything we ate, from the well served breakfasts to tasty and fresh salads, soups and fish, with almost everything sourced in their own organic garden. The staff are all kind and helpful and very well trained (the waiters also double as guides for the hikes which is nice). There seems to be real pride in working here.
