A beautiful breakfast was included with the very reasonable price of the room. Location was quiet and beautiful. Rooms were clean and bright. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a relaxing and low key stay, as San Lorenzo is a very small town. Peaceful beach to enjoy with no hawkers, and a fun little hike up to the lighthouse. Not a town to come to if you’re looking for nightlife and lots of other tourists.

“Feels like home”
Hosts are super nice. They help you with everything. You feel directly at home. 😊 Best fresh fruit juces and Piña colada! Very nice beach with the possibility to see baby turtels finding their way to the see. Best surfspot around: San Mateo. 🏄🏽♂️🏄♀️

Room was spacious with comfortable bed. I slept like a baby. Great access to the beach. Beautiful property. Staff were friendly. I enjoyed my breakfasts with the view of the ocean.

Everything! Mambo Ecohostal is a perfect place to chose when staying in San Lorenzo. Great hosts, good vibes, delicious croissants and pain du chocolate 😏, clean and peaceful. Totally recommend!

Very simple place to stay, but with overwhelming friendly hosts. The bar at the roof is excellent! Unfortunatly I stayed there only for one night.

The owner was super helpful, arranged a hike in the park to see the monkies and dropped us off. The meals were very tasty and well priced.

“Definitely visit this town and LOVE this hostel!”
The atmosphere of the hostel is really nice. It’s laidback, beautiful with all the natural materials and the lookout on the sea and the owners are super nice and helpful. We booked a room with two beds and shared bathroom, because we couldn’t find another option on Booking, but when we arrived they offered the room with double bed and included bathroom for the same price. Super friendly and attentive! It’s clean and we liked the design of the room(s) and the whole hostel. They also offer a place where you can sleep in a tent with sea view on the top floor. Text them and they will inform you! Super cool (and even less expensive). They also have a menu to order some drinks and meals, which were really tasty (and homemade, even the bread!). Definitely don’t skip San Lorenzo to relax, see frigate birds, blue-footed booby’s and maybe (just born) turtles. Or visit the rainforest with monkeys. Walk to the lighthouse and swim in the sea. Definitely recommend!
