Set on Guatemala’s Atitlán Lake, Eco Hotel Uxlabil Atitlán has a private jetty and offers free kayak use. All rooms have a balcony with lake views and breakfast is included. “Ideal stay in San Juan”
Beautiful stay just a short walk into San Juan. The staff were very helpful and called a boat for me for my return journey. The room was a decent size with lovely area in front to swing on hammock or relax on sofas watching the world go by. Perfect views of Rostro Maya (Indian Nose).

I like that it was very cheap and the rooms were great.... very comfortable and very close to the center of San Juan La Laguna.

The room was very spacious with a fantastic view of the bay and village of San Juan. The breakfast was wonderfully tasty. The staff were helpful and always smiling.

“Wonderful location”
Looking up at Indian's Nose Mountain each morning was a treat! The location was wonderful both for immediate access to the lake and easy enough access to San Juan village with its amazing collection of painted murals. Back at the hotel, the garden flowers and foliage were well tended - a special shout out to the lovely gardener. It was great that there are some kayaks readily available and I really enjoyed my swims (a vertical ladder off the end of the jetty avoids wading through lake weed). Once you've found the public boat from Panjachel to San Juan, you can ask to be dropped off at Uxlibil (pronounced ooshlibil), it's a flat rate of Q25pp - no ticket needed, just pay as you leave the boat. The hotel can call the ferry operators if you want to be picked up.

An amazing choice in San Juan! The staff was wonderful; they stored my luggage after checkout. The breakfast was great, and the lake view was great. I highly recommend staying here.

“A nice base for a few nights.”
Spacious rooms with a view and breakfast. They have their own dock, so easy with luggage. A 10 minute stroll into town. You can hear frogs at night time.

“Very relaxing experience in the lake”
Spectacular views, all rooms open to a common balcony where you see the lake and the surrounding gardens. Location is walking distance from the center of San Juan. Kayaks are free to use and very fun. Meals are well prepared and the staff is great

this hotel is calm and very natural gardens and facilities all organised well. View is spectacular and being about 10 minutes from the main centre means it was very quiet and perfect to relax, but still enjoy the interesting villages around hte lake
