Stylish little hotel with sea views and close the beach. The staff are so friendly and hospitable, especially Maria who runs it. The rooms are perfect with comfy beds and a modern bathroom with a huge shower. Book one with a balcony and sea view, it's worth it. Breakfast is served in their popular cafe.

The hotel is really beautiful! Right next to the sea and located in the beautiful coastal town of San Jose. Rooms were spacious, modern an clean! Will definitely visit again!

Location was perfect. Centrally located for the beach and restaurants. The room was spotless and plenty of space. Air conditioning was really good. Decoration was beautiful and new. The roof top pool was fabulous.

Brand new hotel in a fantastic location. Lots of free parking nearby. Very friendly staff. Excellent value for money for a very clean, comfortable room with a balcony and beautiful bathroom. San Jose is a lovely little beach town. Highly recommend.

“Perfect little hotel in a pretty village on the sea in the stunning Cabo de Gata natural park”

The hotel is beautifully designed with gorgeous rooms, most with balconies and sea views, and very comfortable beds. Breakfast is in the cafe on the ground floor which is very popular with locals and has a great outdoor terrace. Maria who runs Cala Arena, her father, Priscilla in the cafe and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and friendly, you really won't want to leave. And San Jose is a lovely little town with great restaurants - our favourite was La Palmera Mercado, very close to the hotel. And don't forget the stunning beaches - Playa de los Genoveses just south is like Spanish playa's must have been in the 1950's. Also fantastic gym in the basement.

The staff was nice, room was great and the shower, too. We parked in front of the hotel. We were allowed to use the room in the basement for our work meeting in the evening, which was great. We left too early for breakfast but there was a nearby cafe where we had breakfast.

A lovely small hotel ideally positioned for the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful.

Nice little hotel above the beach in town center. Small but nice rooms, in our case with balcony. Very convenient location and quite spanish. Nice breakfast with tostados the spanish style. Welcoming staff extremely friendly, breakfast staff mixed. This is a Spanish-speaking place (they called and I had to talk to them in Spanish), so be prepared to scrape some spanish words out of your brain :) All in all a very nice, down to earth place
