A wonderful getaway in the jungle. Very helpful staff, who helped organise transport and trips for us.

It's in a very well maintain tropical garden. The place is clean and spacious. Food was good and reasonably priced

Great facilities and location in nature with plants and wildlife everywhere.

The room was well air conditioned and it was very comfortable! The staff were welcoming, helpful with answering questions and great with our kids. The pool was very fun and we enjoyed the vision of the property!

We loved everything. The sound of the jungle, the accommodations were comfy and cute, great staff.

Lovely remote lodge but still 15min away from town. Great staff. Very accommodating. Loved the spa too.

“Good room, but overall a disappointing stay due to poor transparency, bad restaurant experience and inadequate handling”

The room is clean and spacious, with a shower that offers great water pressure and plenty of hot water. It is well equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, a coffee maker and drinking water. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as flowers and neatly folded towels. Pool towels are also provided. The room gets dark at night thanks to the wooden shutters. During our month traveling through Guatemala and Belize, this was the first place where we experienced complete darkness, making it especially pleasant to sleep without any outside light disturbance. Housekeeping was done during our stay even though we were only there for two nights. Cesar was very friendly, communicative and helpful. He gave us great advice for visiting the ATM Cave and helped organize our transfer to Belize City.

Good location just outside of the town submerged in tropical plants. Good to have a restaurant and pool on-site. Reception staff were very attentive and helpful.

The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They thought of little things in the room that helped make our stay easy like salt and pepper as well as oil for cooking. The onsite restaurant was fabulous. Ray gave us a wonderful cooking class. The service and quality of food was second to none in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The night hike was great and also very informative, although my husband found it a bit physically challenging. Wilder (sp?) was very passionate and knowledgeable about birds, animals and trees and other vegetation. We learned a lot on this hike. He knew that I wanted to see a toucan and cane to find me when one was visible. He is an amazing asset to the team. The grounds are lush and beautiful. Waking up to the birds every morning was like heaven. Luna the little cat visited us in the mornings on our shared deck. She is very sweet. Thank you so much! We would definitely go back if staying in the San Ignacio area again!

“Great location & amazing staff.”

The location is beautiful. In the jungle but still close to the road. Easier with a car to get to town but only a 20 minute walk. Loved the outside kitchen which is really well equipped. The staff are amazing. Cesar & his team including Elsa & Wilder (who is incredibly knowledgeable about birds) made our stay outstanding.

“Wish we'd booked another night!”

The room was spacious and very clean. All the staff were incredibly friendly and stopped to chat wherever we met them - on a pathway, at the front desk, or at the firepit. The restaurant food and service were great, and we loved that there was a fire in the firepit every evening.

Very friendly helpful staff. Beautiful property, with clean, well-stocked, quiet apartment. Central location for pick up on excursions, close to town by car (bit far to walk).

The grounds, the size of the accommodation, the various areas to sit and enjoy the gardens, the friendly staff. The manager, Levi, went to collect a pizza for us one evening when my son was unwell. All staff were so friendly and helpful.

“Tranquil and relaxing”

Maya mountain Lodge is a perfect location. Our bungalow was a good size and bedding was lovely and clean with a mattress topper. Towels were brilliant white and there were lots of them . The shower was great, spacious with lots of hot water, housekeeping was daily and very thorough. , A water cooler was provided in the bungalow and a vase with flowers . There was a Coffee machine and a fridge. The setting is very very tranquil, with lots of birds and squirrels; there is also the occasional monkey. The pool is very clean and there are chairs and hammocks. The restaurant has a limited menu but is very good and service is excellent. Reception sells crisps etc. WiFi was very good.
