“Two nights in hell if you can’t sleep!”

I spent two nights without being able to get any sleep after a 24-hour journey because the walls are not solid—they are just partitions. I was placed in a room next to a very noisy person who was on the phone until 1 a.m. both nights, with no awareness that even a simple action like blowing their nose could be heard through such thin partitions. Those were two nights from hell! I would have appreciated it if the staff, knowing about the inevitable noise issues with these partitions, could prioritize placing guests away from each other when rooms are available. When one cannot rest at night, all the other aspects—the décor, the services—become completely secondary; the essential is lost: the quality of sleep. I noticed that the other guests seemed to have slept well, and I realized that many of them were already elderly; this should not be a problem, as most must have an already impaired hearing.

We came to San Giovanni Rotondo to visit St. Padre Pio Sanctuary, so this hotel was a great choice. The sanctuary is located just across the road from the hotel. It was just a short walk to everything we wanted to see, our breakfast was included which was lovely too. Staff were all friendly and welcoming also helpful. Previous to arrival we contacted the hotel & they helped us arrange our transfer to the hotel to & from the airport in Bari at a reasonable cost in comparison to online transfers.

I like the cleanliness of the room. Water heater is working well in the bathroom. Breakfast is amazing! It would be good if the hotel provides bedroom slippers. Also, the flights of stairs in front of the hotel is the only major negative point cos one would need to carry your heavy luggages up those stairs.

Location was absolutely perfect but found the hotel lacking in every other element.

Excellent location and v good soundproofing as heard no noise from parties etc The cleaners were super friendly and helpful - helped me locate shorts that flew from my window to balcony below.

The room was a good size and clean however the rest is really dated and in need of some love and care. There is a restaurant in the hotel so we didn’t have to go out for dinner in the evening.

The pool was nice and deep, but crowded. The dinner at the restaurant was good, with lovely staff and live music outside. The restaurant was modern and seems to have been updated recently. It felt like we were in a different place, more like what we expected.
