Hotel Le Volpaie is a beautiful, convenient base for exploring Tuscany. Set just 20 minutes’ drive from San Gimignano and Volterra the hotel has its own gardens and pool. Relax by Le Volpaie’s pool with a cocktail or sit out on the terrace. The property is located in the village of Castel San Gimignano. Bikes are available on site, allowing you to explore the surrounding area with ease. Family-run, Hotel Le Volpaie has just 15 rooms, located in the main building and in the annexe, situated in the gardens. All have modern facilities such as LCD satellite television and free Wi-Fi access and some have their own balconies which enjoy exceptional views of the Tuscan hills. Hotel Le Volpaie can organise city tours, wine-tasting trips, horse-riding excurions and even cooking lessons on request. The coast is just an hour away by car, as are many of Tuscany’s most important sights.

“Perfect sleep and relaxation!”
The location is perfect for relaxing in the middle of nature, the area is quiet, we had a perfect stay, with a quality sleep, in a very large and comfortable bed. There is also a very beautiful swimming pool in the summer. The staff is a 10, we really liked the guys at the reception and all the people there. The breakfast has everything you need and is carefully prepared and very delicious. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We will definitely come back to you!

The breakfast and the staff were the best we ever experienced. Everyone was really nice, and caring, the breakfast was everyday fresh and delicious in a perfect environment. The room was super clean. We will definitely go back there! 😍

Everything was amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Because it was our 1st time in Italy, he gave us an upgraded bigger room. Everything in the room was great. Big comfy bed. The breakfast had a lot of options. Nice sitting areas in the main building. Highly recommend Le Volpaie and thank you for the fabulous experience.

Beautiful location very well located for visiting the many surrounding attractions. Room very spacious and recently upgraded to a high standard with good parking. The greatest appeal of this hotel is the truly warm and friendly treatment we received. A most memorable stay.

Max and his friend were great and friendly hosts. Hotel's location was good to travel around Tuscany. The restaurant (Tre Archi) nearby was a very nice restaurant, Breakfast was satisfactory.

“A fabulous really welcoming hotel with great hosts”
We loved our stay. Max was so friendly and helpful and welcomed our two greyhounds making us feel like honoured guests. Our room was comfortable and the balcony was a lovely place to sit in the late afternoon with a glass of wine. It was really good to have a fridge in the room and the bathroom was a really good size. Our dogs were welcome everywhere including in the breakfast room where they received a lot of attention. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Our dogs enjoyed their stay and quickly settled, which made it good for us to relax. There was plenty of parking in front of the hotel and in the lane. Max and Stefano were really helpful with suggestions about restaurants and places to visit such as Volterra ( highly recommended) the nearby restaurant Tre Archi, served great food, again the dogs were welcome and we saw many hotel guests in there. We are looking forward to our next trip through Italy next autumn and look forward to seeing the changes Max said were being planned.

Spotlessly clean and easy to find. Nice to have a pool and sun loungers, even if water very cold.
