“Best homestay n the best hosts in San Gimignano”

We loved everything about this family homestay. Fulvio n his family are the best hosts ever. Their property is in the countryside n is so beautiful. Our room was cozy n had everything we needed. We chose to eat at the homestay every night n the food was sooo delicious n each dish was prepare with love n a wine pairing. There are also cooking classes there that you can attend. Fulvio greeting us every morning with a yummy breakfast n discussed n helped plan our days in surrounding old historic towns. Truly an amazing place to stay n a remarkable family who made us feel not only welcome but part of the family .

In the middle of Tuscan hills and vineyards, 10 minutes or less drive from San Gimignano. Peace and quiet was what we wanted and a good base to drive out from each day to explore the region.

Il Vicario is situated very idyllically in the countryside of Tuscany. The hosts were very friendly and always had good tips for travel destinations.

We had a lovely stay at Il Vicario. The surroundings are beautiful. The owners are very hospitable and helpful and have great tips on the area and food. In addition, it is also lovely to have dinner in the evening. They cook wonderfully, the food is served with nice matching wines.

A picturesque historic vicarage, just 10 minutes from San Gimignano. The room was cozy, the breakfast had lots of fresh food, juice, and coffee. The owner was very friendly and gave us great suggestions for activities. We also took the cooking class, which was great fun and great dishes

The location is perfect. the place is clean and the food is great. the owners are helpful and giving a lot of tips were to visit,car parking tips and good restaurants. we took a cooking class and enjoyed it very much 😋. will be back for sure 👌

“Best place ever”

Katia and Fulvio were the best hosts we ever had. Very helpful and we felt like at home. We took a cooking class, that we read is best in the area, and it was true. Food we made was so simple yet so delicious and previous to that my only achievement was to make a good sandwich and not to burn water. The area is like from Italian movie, nice and quiet and fairly close to everything around, if you planning to see other Tuscan cities. They will give you tips of the places you should go and see and car parks, so you don't have to walk far

We stayed for one night and did the advanced cooking class with Katia. The class was amazing and the hotel was very nice in a beautiful location. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and included cappuccino and scrambled eggs. We wished we stayed longer!

Very friendly owners! We were warm welcomed with a glass of Vernaccia wine. At night we had the most wonderful dinner here for a good price: you should definitely stay and eat here!!! Also very good breakfast. Nice room with airconditioning. Excellent base for exploring San Gimignano and surroundings.

Il Vicario is amazing and authentic place. Katia and Fulvio are nice and kind hosts. The location is perfect, if you want to organize daily tours around in Toscana. Fulvio gives you the best tricks and tips to find always the best parking places, sight sightseeings, directions. The cooking class is amazing, breakfast, atmosphere and rooms are perfect. Don't forget to buy some olive oil from them. We will come back ones :)

“True Tuscany experience”

We’ve liked everything. The property is a historical mansion build in 1300, very well preserved, cosy and clean. It’s location is perfect if you want to visit the main cities of Tuscany and medieval localities such as San Gimignano (10-min drive), Volterra or Monteriggioni, but in the same time staying in a beautiful location surrounded by olive trees and vine plantations. The owner, Fulvio was the nicest host and a great chef. The dinner he prepared was super delicious, being used local ingredients, and for each dish, local wine was also served. You must eat here and have this experience.

“Cute place in beautiful surrounding”

Really cute little place in a wonderful surrounding. The owners were extremely kind and we felt very welcome. In the evening it was possible to book a home cooked dinner menu for 30€ per person which was a very fair price for four courses and different wines. The food was basic but tasty and they made a vegetarian option with no problem. The room was very warm and cosy, which is not natural in these old stone houses in winter! Plus, as it was located in the middle of the hills and vinyards, it was super quiet.

The location is very good, with beautifull views. But the most wondefull was our host. He made us feel the taste of Toscany.

We felt as if we came to the family for a holiday. Katia and Fulvio are like good uncle and the best cousin - warm, welcoming, friendly and helpfuly. They both speak great English. This place is in a great location, in the countryside, but it is very quick and easy to take the main road and be in San Gimigiano in 6 minutes. There is very nice private swimming pool for guests with sun loungers between olive trees. Everything was perfect but the thing that sets this place real unique is the food! In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious dinner prepared from local produce by the hosts (you'd better spare yourself and come hungry:) Definitely you can't miss it! We will come back here for sure.
