Surrounded by 70 hectares of vineyards and olive-tree groves, this 17th-century building is found near the historic, Roman church that inspired Puccini’s famous opera, Suor Angelica. Alessandro and his staff make Il Casale Del Cotone a true delight to stay in. With on site parking, beautiful sparkling pool, wonderful gardens, very comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, breakfast included and a delicious dinner night (extra charge) cooked by Alessandro and his family (one of the nights of our stay), made our stay in Tuscany an absolute pleasure. The ambience of the property is very enjoyable and we rate 10/10. The property is very close to the old town of SAN Gimignano which is a pleasure to explore. Kim & Graham, Gold Coast, Australia

“Heaven in Tuscany”
One of the most beautiful places we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. It’s a 20 minute walk from the town, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, with beautiful district views. Comfortable beds ( we slept so well) and a lovely pool area. The best thing of all was the wonderful host Alessandro who went above and beyond to make every guest feel welcomed and cared for. He even helped us to find transport to the bus station on departure, for which we are so grateful.

This place has a big 10 from us! We think that heaven looks like the gardens from Il casale...Mr. Martelli is a great person. You can easly see that this place is his heart and his soul. We had a great beakfast, is has everything you need to start the day. The gardens and the rooms are fabulous! It is like you go back in another time...the furniture looks like from ancient times but yet there are modern utilities. Every day the room was cleaned and the bathroom has all kind of bath cosmetics. Everything is very clean. It is a place where you want to came back!
