Overview
Housed in an elegant, 14th-century building La Cisterna is set in a picturesque, namesake square in the heart of San Gimignano. The rooms offer air conditioning, free Wifi and a flat-screen satellite TV. Most rooms at La Cisterna offer views of the square or of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Each is furnished in a Florentine style. After a busy day, linger over a meal of fine Tuscan cuisine in the Le Terrazze restaurant. A continental buffet breakfast is served daily.

“Good hotel in a great location”
Great location in the absolute centre of San Gimignano. Comfortable twin room that wasn't luxurious but absolutely met our needs. Staff were good but not super-helpful. Overall good for a one-night stay.

Great location right in the middle of town - actually quite easy to park and walk up. Our room didn't have a view - but we didn't stay in it that much as there is so much to see in this beautiful little town.

Stunning view from the room overlooking the Tuscan countryside and the hotel is right bang in the middle of the beautiful central square. Room had everything we needed, so quiet and peaceful, and spotlessly clean.

The location was excellent. Staff were really helpful and helped resolve problems caused by rail strike. Views, from our room and elsewhere in hotel, fabulous. Restaurant was good value for money.

The location is superb and the views over the square and in particular at the side and rear from the restaurant couldn’t be better. The bathroom facilities worked well, as did the a/c (it was 34C outside).

We had the best views, overlooking Tuscany. The location was perfect, the room was large and very clean. The hotel restaurant was also excellent. Great food and wine.
