“A gem in the hills above San Gil”

Jane and Filipe run this place with passion. I absolutely loved my stay here. I wished I had more tine to stay longer. Itt is an amazing place for unwinding. Jane is a phantastic host and cook!!! Thank you for great conversations and thanks for your good energy.

Beautiful views especially the sunset. Jane makes this place really special. Super friendly and helpful if we needed help. The kitchen is perfectly equipment. We would come again. Thanks for everything.

“A slice of paradise.”

Jane and Felipe are the best. Kind and welcoming.Arranged a taxi pickup from terminal and another when I was leaving at a fair price with their preferred drivers. Meals were delicious. Best were comfy. Free all day coffee and fresh bread in the morning. Cats and dogs were wonderful. Away from the hustle and bustle, perfect for a recharge. Property is lovely, fresh mandarins right from the tree.

“Unfortunate”

I liked that the hostel was not in San Gil itself, but on a hill with a nice view. It can be really cozy to sit on the veranda and watch the thunder and lightning in the mountains. To get to the hacienda, you need to get a taxi. I hiked down once as well with a small backpack.

“Great place to chill”

This was my second stay. I developed a fever and was given a special room to recuperate in peace and quiet. I appreciate the fine details in hospitality, such as double pillows. Jane and Felipe were great hosts.

“Super back-to-nature place to truly chill”

It's like a boutique hotel rather than a hostel. Tastefully decorated to delight the eye as well as to invite guests to truly enjoy and relax in this special place, a gorgeous view of a spread of mountains from the front porch, also a starting point for short and longer walks into woods, fields and nearby neighbouring mountain village/s. Plenty of attention to details to make anyone's stay just wonderful (eg the homemade bread is the best I've had in South America and the coffee too!) super clean: bed, bathroom, hosts super super helpful and friendly. Can't ask for more, really! I am definitely taking time off from travel to go back and chill !

I loved the quiet location, the hospitality shown by Jane & Felippe and the food they cooked was amazing. With the dogs and cats it felt very homely. I was planning to stay two nights I ended up staying seven. It was hard to leave.

“Everything perfect”

Absolutely everything, the best hostel experience of our lives!!! Jane and Felipe are the most amazing hosts, and their happiness is contagious. They helped us with everything we needed, even gave us old shoes for the river. And the food was delicious. 100% recommended, thank you Jane and Felipe for everything!

“A little piece of paradise”

Beautiful location up in the hills surrounded by the coffee farm. It's a little bit out of town but Jane organised a taxi for me so easy to get to. As a solo traveller loved the family dinners to meet other people and eat yummy food. Overall felt very spoilt by Jane and Felipe, I felt really at home which is something you don't always get when travelling. They organised activities for me and we did a lovely walk to Curiti to visit the pools. I didn't want to leave and hope to be back. Totally recommend!

“Amazing place with amazing people. Strongly recommend!”

It's real hacienda in the middle of the nature, but still walking distance from town (when you arrive with luggage better to take taxi, but without luggage it's real pleasure)). Rooms are big, beds are super comfortable, and owners from the first minute made me feel home. And i mean really home and family feeling.

“Yes.”

Great hosts. Great breakfast. Great location...if you have a car as it is a bit outside of town. That said, being outside of town is one of its charms. Life doesn't get much better than burying yourself in one of the hammocks and uncoupling from the world.

“Magical place and kindests hosts”

We loved absolutely everything about our stay here. Ended up spending 5 nights. The host’s (including their two dogs) is the kindest and warmest people, and they would help you with any questions you should have. They do everything to make you feel at home. Would recommend this place to everyone. A perfect peaceful place to relax after an adventures day, with the most magical view of the mountains. Definitely coming back when you get your pool done ;-)

“Amazing stay”

We booked cos of the incredible reviews and weren’t disappointed. Felipe and Jane are amazing hosts, kind, funny and sociable. Felt like family, with plenty of room to socialise. The private room was huge, with a big bathroom and warm shower. Kitchen was well equipped but after tasting the home cooked meals you might not use it! Located out of town with sunset views over San Gil. Great for hiking. You can walk and then bus to town, or Jane and Felipe will sort out economical transport if required. You can book tours at the hostel too.

“Welcoming home in Colombia”

The owners Jane and Filipe together with the rest of the family (mom Janet, dogs) really make the place very special. They make you feel welcome, even before you arrive! Felt like home after a day of walking, rafting etc. The meals are yummie and a massage of mom Janet are also very much recommended.
