The location is very good. The hostal was exceptionally clean, the bed very comfortable. The dormitory had both low light and bright light. Near to the pool are pretty plants, mango trees and an orange tree. They form a lovely big garden. Patty the cat is adorable.

Staff were very nice and welcoming and very attentive to questions. Hostel was very nice, it has a pool at the back of the garden where you can socialise and yet it is very quiet at night.

“The hostel is very clean, and the rooms are cozy and spacious. There’s a big garden at the back of the house, a great place to relax for a while. The people at the hostel will make you feel like at home, and you’ll probably fall in love with Laila, the beautiful hostel pet.”

The hostel is amazing! It has a really relaxed vibe, everything is always clean, and the girls who run it are absolutely the best. They know the area really well, so you can always ask them for recommendations on things to do. The location is perfect, the internet works great, and overall, I would definitely recommend this place — it’s a 10 out of 10!

“Brilliant Stay in a Great City”

Lovely family run hostel/guesthouse for a brilliant price. The staff were so friendly and eager to help, despite the language barrier. It's in a great location in San Gil, just a straight walk to the main plaza. The entirety of where we explored in San Gil felt safe, even in the evenings Everything was spotless, the bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The pool was a great addition to cool off in. The bed was comfortable if slightly creaky. Good strong fan in the room. The hostel has an abundance of friendly animals to meet as well, including 3 dogs who were always so excited to see us return, a cat, 2 tortoises and goats. We would have loved to have stayed longer at the Green Door in San Gil, but unfortunately had already booked our next stop. San Gil itself if a great laid back city in the mountains. There are a lot of adventure sports on offer, but also plenty of opportunities to slow down. Highly recommend visiting.

The tranquility of the hostel, it is full of nature, it is well located, the beds are very comfy, Marina the person who is at the front desk is extremely kind. I really recomend the hostel. Plys the dogs are very funny and lovely.

Great service and very kind people! Everything somebody needs to stay in San gil and enjoy Santander. Marina is a great person, with great suggestions and company. It was quiet and with a decent internet connection, making it great place for people working remotely.

“Cozy and comfortable hostel with good vibe”

The girls working in the hostel are very kind, helpful and make you feel very comfortable. The rooms and all the common areas are very clean. Towels are included and the beds are comfortable with clean sheets. It’s located near to the center and you can find delicious “menú del día” nearby. There is a kitchen with all the amenities ready to use or you can also order food there.

“Calm place. Perfect for short and long stay”

First of all i would like to notice how attentive was personal in the hostel. We arrived very late in the rainy day, so it was no problem with entrance and accommodation. We asked for breakfast and it was served in the morning, delicious and good prepared, so i can recommend to take a breakfast included. Space in bathrooms and other areas were maintained cleaned all the time, as well swimming pool. We really valued the view and calmness near the swimming pool. And the location of the place was perfect, far from noisy streets and inside it was very relaxing. There are plenty of space inside and comfortable to share with other guests. We will back in this place for sure.

Very friendly staff. A short walk to the centre. Stayed on two occasions May 2023. If you are in the room downstairs near the street I would advise you store your pack above at reception as there is no security or locks
