Amazing place, great apartment and nice staff. The view is amazing and if you are lucky the stars are amazing in a clear night.

Plenty of sheets to stay warm. Also has electric heater. Nice garden.

Wonderful location, comfortable and full of character

“Stunning views and cleanliness”

We stayed in this cabin for one night. It’s located on a large property with other cabins nearby. The entire area is surrounded by stunning mountains, fruit trees, a river, and waterfalls that can be reached with a short hike. We were very pleasantly surprised by the impeccable cleanliness of the cabin, which is often not the case in places like this. The fresh, fragrant towels and bed linen were an added bonus. Unfortunately, we didn’t see a quetzal, despite getting up at 5:00 AM, but we happened to arrive during a cold front, which likely discouraged the birds. One night is probably not long enough to have a good chance of spotting one anyway. The owner is very warm and welcoming, and she has a lovely little dachshund.

It just felt so welcoming, loved the grass area around it. Lots of blankets. Great views from the windows. Very friendly people. Would love to go back.

The position of the cabin is exceptional. It’s back to nature. Good bird viewings including the Quetzal.

Our host Amanda was excellent. She was very generous with her time offering to take us to see quetzales on the property. She explained the bird’s behaviours and the most likely time to see them. Amanda was able to spot quetzales that we would not have seen on our own We loved the location. We could watch hummingbirds from our window. The setting was quiet and peaceful among nature

Spacious bungalow surrounded by lush greenery!

This was a lovely, peaceful place to stay in the beautiful valley of the quetzals. Well equipped small private cabin near to a river and waterfall. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. There was a bird perch outside the kitchen window so we could sit and watch the birds come. It is a bit cold at night but plenty of blankets.

Ideally placed for spotting the Quetzal, this is a no frills, value for money, option that will suit the budget conscience birder. With Marlen's restaurant only 5 minutes walk away there is also no need to cook for yourself, although the option is available, providing you shop before descending 7 km down the challenging road into the valley bottom.

Best little house just next to a tree where you can see quetzals every morning. Guests from other properties from all over san gerado come here to see quetzals. Owners are super lovely. Book it!

Wonderful, peaceful location right by the river, and with a nice walking trail. The cabin had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Antony even met us at 6am to show us a quetzal on the farm, and we also saw a quetzal and lots of hummingbirds from the kitchen window.

The hutch is placed in a spectacular location. Although fairly small, it has everything one needs. Great place for observation of birds and the river close by is very nice

If you are looking for quetzals this is the place to be. We had four different sightings in three days and took pictures and videos. Our hosts were really welcoming and showed us round the property which is extensive and contains trails to waterfalls and surrounding mountains. Good training for Parque Nacional Chirripó! The property was well equipped and the bed very comfortable.

Perfect tiny house in a cute nature place. The river is closed. You can park your car. It is cold during night but you have everything you need (blankets). Very clean, hot shower and the kitchen is well equiped. We saw a quetzal really early in the morning !

Exactly what we wanted! A cosy and nice apartment in the woods. Where we could see the quetzal on the property itself! We saw it in the afternoon and morning. And there is a nice walk towards the waterfall which we liked!
