great to have free netflix in the room where I stayed from Dec 6th to 11th. Unfortunately, no free netflix available in room I sayed in from 16th -17th Dec. refrigerator to store food for breakfast and snacks.

“Cosy well located hotel for exploring San Francisco.”
Great location, right next to beautiful park with amazing views. Handy for buses and city bike stations. Nice staff, good communication. Room was small with view straight on to neighbouring house, but very clean and comfortable. The hotel is peaceful and has a nice old fashioned feel to it, even though everything is in great condition.

“Comfortable, clean, great location”
I can’t believe this was a 3-star hotel, with prices that are relatively affordable (compared to SF prices and given fantastic location). The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and stylish. The famous Painted Ladies are just a few minutes away on foot, great cafes and restaurants nearby. My flight was delayed and I had to check in super late, which was no problem because the hotel had sent me detailed instructions ahead and I was able to complete self check-in easily upon arrival.

My stay at The Grove Inn was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better—many attractions were within walking distance, which was ideal for me as I love to explore the city on foot. What really stood out, however, was the service. Aziza made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. She was attentive, warm, and always willing to help with advice and recommendations. Her hospitality truly elevated my experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Misleading indication that there is a lift when there is none. Just a tiny one for lugguge. Staircase extremeley tiny and dangerous for people with above shoe size 8. Bad smell because of the usual humidity of an old house but that had not been dealt with. No common space after 5 o'clock. I found the price to be too high with respect to the offering as a whole, possibly because there are no othwer hotels in the area. I was led to stay there only because my daughter lives near by.

Beautiful Victorian house. If you need public transportation , bus stops right in front. They recommend parking places if you go in car, they are cheaper than then the average Parking around the city (but not so close to the hotel, so better take Uber or bus back in case you dont love to walk). Easy check in.

“Perfect escape in SF!”
The perfect stay for my first time in SF! The location near the Painted Ladies is so convenient for Golden Gate Park, Haight St, and getting up to Pier 39 etc. The room was absolutely beautiful. It was well equipped with a fridge, coffee machine, and a nice seating area to enjoy an afternoon tea. There was a fan and even a white noise machine provided which I appreciated so much as a light sleeper, but the bed was so comfy and the house so quiet I slept great! It was the perfect escape in the vibrant city!

funny linguistic misunderstanding, due to Booking' s wrong translation of "bay window" as Finestre a golfo". It is in fact a BOW window, for those who know the UK English term only: not looking upon any Gulf whatsoever! Yet, quite pleasant. ;-))
