After several serious hygiene issues with both the room and the breakfast, we decided to leave the hotel early. The management initially agreed to provide a refund and advised us to contact Booking.com. However, once Booking.com got involved, the hotel refused to honour the refund agreement. Very disappointing experience overall — I would avoid this hotel.

The staff is very friendly and helpful The bed is really comfy, the bathroom is big and neat. The breakfast is good.

Amazing place! Very lovely decorated with the spirit of old France, feel like in the museum or castle , especially in the dining hall )) Elevator is a masterpiece!! Beside this impression - the room was very comfortable, bed just perfect for a proper rest. Breakfast - good options. Not super rich, but absolutely satisfying. Hotel itself is pretty clean, location is just in the middle of the town, safe and clean area

“If you like quirky this is the hotel for you but parking is restrictive”

The location of the hotel is good being just around the corner from Union Square and access to trams etc. The room was very comfortable if a little rough around the edges, e.g doors had been taken off the built in wardrobe but the hinges had been left and not repainted. We could seem to make the safe work. However the bed was really comfortbale and the room was quiet. The hotel is very quirky and a bit unusual

Solid breakfast, and self-serve coffee available most of the day. Great location close to the cable car and short (but steep) walk to the train.

Location was super central, abit further away from the main central area but that's OK and was up on the slope near a Powell / Hyde Tram stop. Super convenient to getting around as it was also close to a major bus stop near Stockton and Sutter Road. I could get to Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, Fort Mason easily, as well as transit to the southern areas eg Mission District.

Location was good and in a relatively ok neighbourhood in a city which has some pretty rough areas. Staff were mostly helpful.

Breakfast was great in the 1st morning, but that became a little bit poor in the last morning, say, on Saturday.

Ambiance of art on each floor, architecture and decor of breakfast room, the super breakfast buffet, the hospitality room near front desk and place to sit in small lounge, comfortable beds, really great help from the staff at front desk and in the breakfast room.
