The owners were so welcoming, it was a beautiful property with lovely accommodation. Right on the via Francigena trail. I arrived earlier than expected and could check in. There was no cafe for dinner for 4-5 klms and the owner drove me there to buy takeaway ❤️ Breakfast was excellent!

A lovely home in the quiet countryside along the via Francigena route. The place is seriously underrated (it should have more than a 10 rating!) and the pictures on booking does not do justice to the place. In actuality, the room (2 bedrooms) feels like a 5 star hotel with lovely decor, nice sheets, very comfortable pillows (unlike some other places we have stayed at for the same price) and bed. The garden was a really a chill area to rest after a long walk and the small outdoor kitchen was functional enough for us to cook some instant foods. Host was really lovely and generous.

Me and my wife stayed for 6 nights in January: our experience has been fantastic. The house is in a very quiet area, surrounded by nature. The position is great as it allows you to visit 3 different regions: Tuscany (Pienza, Montepulciano..), Lazio ("Parco dei Mostri" in Bomarzo) and Umbria (Orvieto). The family is very nice and attentive to every need of their guests since the very first moment after booking (Samuele is responsive on whatsapp; he has been very helpful multiple times answering to our questions). The room is very nice and comfortable, with everything that you need. Breakfast is also very good! To sum it up: lovely staying, at a lovely family, in a wonderful region! We will strive to come back in the future!

Location - quiet in the middle of the country. size of room. Helpfulness of host - we are walking the Via Francigena so we were disappointed to find that the local restaurant as mentioned in our guidebook had closed and it was a 5km walk on a busy road to the next source of an evening meal. Our host offered to drive us there to collect some food and wine, which we then ate outside as the sun went down and the owls called and the stars came out . Friendly cat.

The owner of the property was very nice and friendly, he treated us like we were part of his family. Although we didn’t speak Italian and he didn’t speak English, we managed to understand each other well, he told us stories about his beloved dog and horse and he also offered to drive us to the supermarket, to be able to do groceries for dinner and he gave us access to his kitchen and backyard to cook and to enjoy dinner there. The breakfast was top - he actually drove to the nearest bakery to provide us fresh croissants and ham, which we really appreciated, but was not needed since we were expecting a more modest breakfast. We are very impressed of the hospitality and would definitely book again at Francigena if we would be passing through the region.
