“Very nice for 2-3 nights”

Very nice facility close to the beach (10 min. walk) and beautiful nature. The bungalow (family type without kitchen) was spacious. The beach is beautiful, almost empty on one side and on the other side only a few locals are enjoying a sunbath.

The location to the gorgeous beach was perfect. We had it all to ourselves and it felt very secluded. WiFi was good. Bedroom was a good size and shower was decent. Dogs at the property were very friendly, however we didn't get to meet the owners. There was a filtered water tap in the kitchen which was very appreciated.

The beds were incredibly comfortable—the best we had in Panama, and we had a few. The rooms and bathrooms were large and clean. The kitchen was very large and had all the amenities you needed. The beach was only a few minutes away, and we saw monkeys and plenty of birds. This place is off the beaten track. If you don’t have a car, you'll need to bring your food in. Sean is incredibly helpful. He got us a taxi to the grocery store and had previously recommended an awesome van driver who drove us back and forth across the country before delivering us to Istmo and then taking us back to Panama City.

Beautiful garden, beautiful cabañas, we had a separate kitchen that was AMAZING, everything you need was there. The wifi was superfast aswell. Kind welcome gift & card. All made with love & care. The location is very remote, perfect for some time off. The beach is very beautiful and only a short walk away. Sometimes you can swim, sometimes it’s dangerous. Host was responsive but we didn’t meet them personally.

“Fantastic getaway!”

Surrounded by trees and wildlife, this was one of our favourite stays in Panama. We went to the empty beach (be aware of jellyfish!), relaxed in the hammocks and just enjoyed ourselves. The hosts were nice, our cottages great, the kitchen well equipped. The jungle in the backyard is great! We spotted hummingbirds and iguanas on the property.

We booked a cabin with a kitchen - which turned out to be a separate cabin! Everything we needed was there - including basic spices and ground coffee. The blender was amazing - and we had fruit smoothies for breakfast and fancy fruit drinks after sunset. Because there are no places to eat within walking distance - this worked very well for us. Just one other cabin was occupied during our stay - so it was very quiet. And the beach is indeed within walking distance - and was very nice and relaxing.

I especially loved that the beach was in walking distance, and was almost totally, if not, unoccupied ! And the water/sand gorgeous IMO. Make sure, especially if not vehicle, to walk about 300 yds north to eat at a fonda recessed a tad off the beach. Good food, with excellent prices, and the pino colada was awesome ! Hope it's there while you are. I also loved the simple, outdoor shower; I got much more hot wate there as well. The front deck, with chairs/small table, and hammock was nice too.The grounds were quiet overall too.

Very quiet and close to beach

The best stay we had in Panama, a small paradise situated in a forest at 5 minutes walk from a splendid and remote beach, marvelous ! The beauty and the calm of the place is unqiue, we loved our stay. The administrator wrote us a welcome letter, we apreciated a lot ! Many thank, see you soon !

The owner Sean was very friendly and supportive. The bungalows itself were clean with comfortable beds and air condotioned, so we had relaxed sleep.

The appartment with kitchen is really comfortable if you stay longer than 1 night. There is a separate watertab with drinking water in the kitchen. Super! The large terrace with table and chairs is a nice to have family dinners. You have a lovely view at the garden. It is a beautiful area, you can walk to the beach. We were at Istmo 3 times. We stopped there on our way to the south from Panama City and on the way back. Sean recommended us to go to El Valle. Is is a nice town in the mountains and a beautiful surrounding, only 30 mins from Istmo.
