Great location in San Carlos, everything was walkable. Staff and owner were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

It was cheap and safe. A little noisy from pizza place but that didn't bother us. A good night's sleep.

As there is very little accommodation in San Carlos I think this was probably the best on offer. We had to push for the room with private bathroom that we had booked on booking.com but I was happy with the room and the beds and the security of the place

I only had an overnight stay awaiting the border crossing. I arrived late and Lionel was very accommodating and made me feel welcome. He gave me ongoing travel information and dinner recommendations. The room was comfortable and clean. The rear yard was lovely and lush, when I looked in the morning. I only wish I had more time to stay a few days. Lake view from the front balconey too.

The information on booking.com is inaccurate. Most facilities (tv, breakfast, English speaking staff) are not present. They said AC is available if you pay double the booking.com price. The hotel is not very clean, also many bugs inside.

-clean rooms; -italian restaurant just next doors; -10 min walk to Plaza Central, 15 min to the pier; -one of cheapest place to find on Booking.com in San Carlos, as most local hotels are not on this website;

We had the most expensive option with AC. We had hit water. We had a bed with linen. We had AC and we had parking. The difficulty in reviewing places like this is that they suffer from border/ middle of nowhere town syndrome in as much as the prices are vastly inflated as compared to more touristic places in the country and the product is vastly inferior. It's a question perhaps if beggars can't be choosers. It would not be possible to recommend this place without these comments. As long as you know what you're getting....

“Simple but safe and friendly environment close to the lake”

The owner or host was very helpful and kind. The place is right in the heart of town at a dead end road so roosters were the only noise you really heard. Loved walking around town. Just a few min walk to the water and main boardwalk. Breakfast is not included but sold by reservation at the restaurant next door. The owner will tell you all of this. He is very helpful and although he doesn’t speak fluent English he knows enough to have a nice conversation with you and make you feel at home.

A/C and a fan which was nice. Room was a decent size. One decent restaurant on site, nothing else in the in the neighborhood .

Air conditioning was amazing, a good nights sleep, lizard and frog in the bathroom were an added bonus, we went for nature, beautiful birds in the garden
