A great place to stay and enjoy the ocean and sunset. We only stayed a night but loved Magdalena Bay.

“Nice stay if you go whale watching”

Generically a nice place to stay for whale watching, whale watching itself was great.

The hotel owner is truly an absolutely wonderful person. She helped us spontaneously organize a gray whale tour. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious and filling. If we are ever in this place again, our choice of accommodation will definitely be here.

Very cute place, feels like out of a movie. The owners are absolutely adorable, super helpful and willing to make your stay amazing. Our room was a little too humid, that's the only downside we experienced. SUPER RECOMMENDED.

“Don't hesitate!”

Very nice place in front of the beach and the lagoon. The room had everything we needed, the terrace was very nice. Puerto San Carlos doesn't have much to offer, we went there for the grey whales. We did a private tour with the hotel (with Pepe) and it was amazing, we highly reccomend it! We spent the day on the water with the whales, an experience we'll never forget. There's the sweetest little dog, she likes to cuddle.

We stayed in the San Carlos' fishing community for 1 night. The place is a bit remote and not a usual Baja tourist hot spot. If you are looking for nature and peace without frills, this is the place to be. The room was simple and very clean, with a little patio in front of it. Brekfast was also simple but perfect. We went on a whale watching tour with Pepe and it was a marvelous day! Grey whales were so close that we could almost touch them. Pepe is a very responsible and knowledgeable captain, respectful of the whales' environment and space. I truly appreciate the fact that he's not assaulting whales just to make tourists happy. We are guests in their environment and must respect them. Pepe is the perfect captain to make sure your tour is as sustainable as it should be. Totally recommended ❤ Thabk you Pepe!

Really clean and comfortable. The hosts were so welcoming and arranged a seamless whale tour. They really tried their best to make sure we had the best experience and had a great respect for the whales.

The property was clean and comfortable with a lovely spot out front for watching the water. I highly recommended their whale watching tours. We were too early for grey whales but had a spectacular time with the humpbacks. An experience to last a lifetime.

We had an amazing experience at this place :) We booked the room via booking and got many informations in advance. We arrived right after sunset to the hotel and had a really nice welcome by the owner and an employee :) The room was very clean and super nice, comfy bed with wonderful soft bedsheets and also waterbottles and fresh towels. But now let's get to the best part! THE WHALE WATCHING TOUR! We started the day around 6 a.m. with a nice breakfast and then went out with the boat to catch the most beautiful sunset. Pepe, our Captain told us about the "bird island" and let us know about our possible stops for our private tour. A little later, we had the first magical and totally fascinating encounter with 2 humpback whales with a baby who kept jumping out of the water, showing us their splashes. It was truly incredible <3 We followed those whales a bit, but then spotted an other group of humpback whales... this time even more!! Absolutely excited whenever they went out of the water splashing. Later we went and searched for grey whales and our amazing captain Pepe went in the right direction to find them :) We were the only boat in that area, it was so peaceful and beautiful to see a sealing playing with a Grey whale!! We didn't want to leave this magical place. We kept saying "one more breath", cause when Grey whales breathe and create this water fountain it's very majestic and fascinating noise. Later we stop at a fisherman's island with only 70 ppl living there, to have an amazing lunch! And then we took a quick stop at the sand dunes, wich was also very special! And last but not least, we had the chance to watch a pod of dolphins play with some sea lions and even jumping out of the water .. Also sooo many birds around , it was truly a perfect day!

“Authentic adventures and good amount of comfort at the same time”

The hotel is the place to go, if you want to experience nature and mexican life in a more authentic way without missing a good a amount of comfort. You see the commitment of the owners Jacibe & Pepe in the rooms and in the service. Location is near to the water and there is enough space for parking at the hotel. You can book boat tours with Pepe or kayaks for your own tours at the hotel. Perfect place to start adventures offered by the hotel or with the help and guidance from the hosts. The beach isn't for swimming and the town has a fishing habor. Sometimes you can smell it. It is different to 4-5 star hotels that are build in locations only for foreign tourists, but I like the authentic life style.

The apartments are 1 to 2 years newly built, everything is clean, and the staff is friendly. The rooms are cleaned daily. They also offer boat trips, which we took advantage of with our family. We observed whales, dolphins, and sea lions, fed cormorants, and went fishing and shell collecting.
