Overview
El Crater is set against the panoramic backdrop of the active Pululahua Volcano, 30-minutes drive from Quito. It features ethnic Ecuadorian architecture designed from hand-crafted stone, and an art gallery. Luxurious suites at El Crater feature contemporary interiors, with private balconies offering views of the Equator Monument. All have an LCD TV and DVD player and air conditioning. Guests can horseback ride, or book a perfumed massage at the Pululahua Crater spa. They can also visit the nearby Otavalo Artisan Market or Rumicucho Ruins. The art gallery at El Crater features an extensive collection from renowned Ecuadorian artists. Guests can also book an excursion to the Mindo Rainforest, 10-minutes drive away. El Crater`s restaurant offers a 360-degree view and serves Ecuadorian cuisine, exotic cocktails and canapés. An American breakfast is available.

This is a wonderful hotel in an amazing location. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are all very helpful and friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

The views and the architecture were amazing. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Nice bathroom. Location was great… we did a 12km hike around the mountain in the crater.

The view to the crater of the Pululahua volcano is simply wonderful! Few places in the world can boast of such a spectacular location.. just breathtaking!
