My favorite place in Samos! Felt like home. Mrs. Helen and Mr. Stelious and their family exepted me like one of the family! The nicest people in the world.. The privacy, the peace, the view arr pricless. Very clean and has everything you will ever need!

Staying at Helen’s mountain house for a week was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, her warm hospitality made us feel at home—she welcomed us with a thoughtful bottle of wine, fruit, and a special poetry present. The house itself was cozy, spotless, and well-maintained, with Helen ensuring a thorough cleaning every three days. On Saturday night, she invited us for dinner and prepared delicious traditional dishes, making the evening truly special. The next day, she took us on a walk to a nearby river, a kind and thoughtful gesture that added to the charm of our stay. The house’s location is perfect for anyone looking to escape into nature, offering breathtaking mountain views and fresh air. Whether relaxing indoors or exploring the beautiful surroundings, every moment was enjoyable. Helen’s kindness and attention to detail made this stay exceptional, and I would highly recommend her mountain house to anyone seeking a peaceful and welcoming retreat. “Beautiful accomodation in traditional greek village”

We spent 2 weeks in this amazing property which had everything for a wonderful stay. Very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, well appointed bathroom and storage, convenient location to explore Samos island. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, they made sure that we felt like at home. I would like to emphasise on their hospitality and kindness which was very much appreciated. The communication with our hosts was amazing- from booking stage to departure and beyond. We felt very cared for. Upon our arrival, we were met by our hosts and given some delicious local food. There were cold bottles of water waiting for us in the fridge. Bottle of delicious Samos wine and breakfast treats. They also supplied olive oil, vinegar, washing up liquid, washing machine pods, paper towels... They have not charged anything for it. We also received a gift which reminds us about our stay at Helen's Mountain House. Thank you! The house is newly renovated, well appointed and very clean. There were always bathroom supplies and fresh towels available. Shower was amazing- always hot with great water pressure. Beautiful views from the village which was surrounded by grape vines and forest at the foot of Mt Karvouni. It was always great to return to accomodation after exploring the island. The property, its facilities and amazing hosts really contributed to our holiday and I could not think about a better place when we return to Samos. Thank you very much for everything!

“Ambassador of Greek Hospitality”

We booked this accommodation in the mountain area, far away from the beach, hoping to enjoy the nature and relax in a quiet area. As we are going to arrive in Vathi harbor too early in the morning, having check in arrangement at noontime, we had decide to drive around having breakfast under sun rising. Instead, we received a phone call by Mrs Helen, prior to our departure from Piraeus, saying that, it will be not comfortable for us to drive around, as she had already arrange for us, a short stay in their own apartment over our accommodation. By reaching in their own apartment, to sleep for couple hours till our check in time, we found a basket with fresh fruits, full breakfast assortments and shower area !!!! All of them given by her heart, at NO CHARGE !!!! Later on, by getting in our accommodation, we really impressed with high quality of renovation they made. By keeping the major cell of a cottage house, they create an atmospheric very clean accommodation with all necessary modern facilities and customer’s needs. During two weeks of our stay, we had the feeling of living in our own home !! In the village there is also, a traditional tavern to try for. By getting position in the middle of the island, is easy and capable to drive and visit every side of the island. Several villages are very close and even Pythagoreio, one of the most famous seaside village, is only 20 mins driving. Mr. Stelios (Helens husband) was there for any help, explanation, guiding (even to local festivals), and mostly behaving like your longtime friend. Thanks to them and their excellent hospitality, we enjoy our vacation unexpectedly in the best way, through generous people who are respecting the tradition and trying also to maintain happiness. If you are a traveler, go there!!!

“I loved my stay there!”

I loved my stay at Helen’s house! It’s a cute little village with only 75-80 habitants where the children are playing outside at the main place all day when it’s not to warm and the people gather around to chat. It’s like a big family where no one is afraid leaving anything outside and just how I imagine the old Greek village life. Around it’s nature from all sides and if you’re looking for a place to calm down, find your balance and escape the stress and rush of your everyday life - then here you’ll find the perfect spot! Not to forget: the owners are pure hearted, lovely people that are giving their very best for you to feel comfortable (and for sure you won’t miss anything in the apartment!). I met them only once and I have taken them to my heart immediately! Thank you for everything!

A wonderful place in the mountains. You can relax. The apartment was super equipped and totally clean. Helen was a super host and unbelievable generous.

“Greek hospitality at its finest”

Charming room in a lovely, unique location with a lovely hostess and friendly neighours. The house was stocked with fruit, bread, and wine which was a very welcome surprise. The other inhabitants of Mesogeio were also really sweet, offering to help us out at every turn.

Extremely clean and spacious room, the kitchen is particularly well equipped. The airbnb is close to Pyrgos, in a calm village a short distance away from the majority of tourists and the main street to Karlovasi/Marathokambos/Spatharei. The description of the place by the owners and signs make the airbnb very easy to find. On top of all the owners are the kindest persons, available for questions all the time, and very generous. We had an outstanding experience with them.

I've been around a lot, in expensive hotels and in smaller studios... but I've never met a place like this and such wonderful, loving people. Helen and Stavros have their hearts in the right place. Greek hospitality has no limits here. The place is so peaceful, you can really feel peace and harmony here. In the evening you can hear the frogs and during the day the birds singing and sheep with bells around their necks. Authentic, loving and above all, nature lovers will find their happiness HERE high on the mountain. I have no words for the gratitude I feel. Thank you Helen for the love you and Stavros put into everything.
