The staff were amazing. Always friendly and ready to help. It was also spotless.

I spent 4 nights at Villas Kalimba with my kids (13 years old) and we loved it. The villas are conveniently located across the street from a beach access which allowed everyone to come and go as they pleased, when they pleased. The premises are cozy, well maintained, well equipped and offer a great relaxing atmosphere. It is a small compound where every villas has its privacy as well as having access to a pool and a good restaurant. The staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. From our standpoint, it was perfect and I would definitely go back there if I were to visit Samara again. Thank you Carolina for making our trip so enjoyable (and easy)

Location perfect; very close to the town and beach but still very quiet. Diego and the team were superb hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Villa was lovely, very clean and spacious.

The location is ideal, close to the beach (a road to cross) and very quiet. The bungalow was well furnished and the bed was very comfy. We stayed three nights at Villas Kalimba and unfortunately, the restaurant was closed from Sunday to Tuesday. But we discovered a lot of good restaurants in the neighborhood. Samara is a nice village with an authentic soul. And the ocean is warm and safe! Very good waves for surfing...

This is an oasis, located 50m from the beach, it’s quiet and the villas are well fitted out, air con in the bedroom. All the staff are welcoming and there is a good restaurant on site, which is currently not advised.

“Best hospitality!”

I loved everything about Villa Kalimba. To start, the hotel only has 5 villas so it feels very intimate. The staff - who are some of the friendliest I've ever encountered on any of my travels - are so helpful, warm and will know your name after one night. I traveled with my family and it was my dad's birthday during our stay (which we did not inform them about), they sent a birthday message based on the details from the passport that they collected during check-in. It's this level of attention to detail that defines good hospitality. And in terms of location, just a few steps from the beach!

Quaint, well kept, friendly staff. Perfect for a family of four. We would definitely stay here again.

Samara is a gem on the Costa Rican Pacific coast. One of our favourite towns and beaches in Guanacaste. Villas Kalimba is one of the nicer places to stay in this town. I would not hesitate to stay here again on a return trip. The staff is great

“Amazing location and kind staff”

Everything was lovely - the spacious villa, the well-kept garden, the beautiful pool... The location is perfect! It’s close to everything, but it remains calm and private. We were very impressed by how kind and generous the staff was. Reception, bartender, housekeeper - they all exceeded our expectations. We were able to check in earlier and encouraged to enjoy the pool even after check out. Would have loved to stay longer if the villas weren’t fully booked :)

We loved everything here! The staff is super lovely and friendly and the villas are just awesome! We had our own home with kitchen, two bedrooms & two bathrooms, a little garden and the pool in front of the door! Furthermore the beach is just across the street! We will come back as soon as possible.

“Great value, exceptional service and cleanliness”

The place is super clean. Diego was amazingly helpful. Right from reaching out to confirm my arrival time, to helping us get our flat tire fixed. He was exceptional. The villas is only 20 meters walk from the beach. Just walk across the road! There is a super market a few doors down that is super convenient and everything in the town is within walking distance. Nice pool area. Villa was spacious and very clean. Overall great value.
