“Great staff and friendly vibe”

The staff here are so friendly, Mauricio is the kindest guy and really brings the atmosphere. It’s close to the beach and in the middle of town which is great. The terrace with the hammocks is also a nice place to chill and socialise.

The location as well as the staff and the facilities were all fantantic! I would recommend this hostel highly to anyone who is on a tight budget but wants to be within an easy stroll to one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica and very close to good affordable restaurants and nightly live entertainment; and the owner and his staff were also impressively friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The dorm rooms are also very safe, clean and comfortable with lockers and I'm very much looking forward to spending more time in this hostel during my every visit to Samara.

I like the family vibes, everyone was talking together and share their own experiences. The staff are actually so nice, they help and are always available for people. They organize some activities to help travelers to get to know others.

“Sociable with great location”

Lots of good social spaces, dorm was comfortable with AC. They give towels with a returnable deposit. Everyone was friendly, the lady who washes the clothes let me use the spin on the machine to dry my clothes. Great location

“PARADISE”

This place exceeded every expectation I had! Sámara is a true paradise : the perfect little beach town with the kindest people, the most beautiful beaches and the best vibe. Sandy toes hostel is perfectly located, is really clean and has the most amazing staff. They have activities every night that will help you make a lot of friends and have so much fun. I really recommend going there if you are searching for a place that will quickly feels like home. Although I must warn you : there is a high chance you end up staying there for way longer than originally planned ;) Thank you so much Kiban, Maria, Johanna, Naomi, Valérie, Meri and Chiqui; looking forward to seeing you again !

Great location! Just 100 meters down to the beach. Nice vibe in the hostel with many new renovations making it very cozy and a good space to meet people. I had a great time here. Clean and great staff aswell :)

“AMAZINGGGG”

I had the best time ever in Sandy Toes Hostel! So many kind people and the staff is amazing aswell. They always answered all my questions with a smile and gave a lot of helpful information about Samara. All the rooms have AC, are cleaned daily and the beds are super comfortable. The hostel organises different activities from bongfires, trips to different beaches, cooking and movie nights, beerpong and parties. There is definitely for everyone and its very easy to socialise through the spacious common areas. One is on the roof and even has a bar, the other one is downstairs where everyone eats together. Also the hostel is right in the center of Samara and only a short walk away from the beach, multiple shops and supermarkets. I would recommend the hostel to everyone from my heart and would rate 12/10 if I could. Lots of love and see u next time <3

- Not clean - minimum facilities - bedbuds in the staff dorm where I stayed the last night as all the other dorms where full
