“A wonderful stay in an exceptional location”

Our family of four booked two caravans and had an amazing time next to pristine Playa Carillo and close to the charming town, with several great restaurants, a bakery and shops. Kris was always available to help with local advice, transportation, and adventures. The caravans were compact but well organised and set in lovely gardens, a few steps from the beach. A magical place.

An absolutely stunning location. Kris (the owner) has created a truly special and unique place to stay, with so much attention to detail. We stayed in the Argosy Caravan, which is perfectly located closest to the beach. The entire stay felt incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and everything was spotless. This was definitely one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip. The beach itself is beautiful and almost untouched, with hardly any people – a true hidden gem. A heartfelt thank you to Kris for her warm hospitality.

What a special spot! Beautiful location just a minute’s walk from the beach. Kris was excellent to deal with, made it very easy and comfortable. Accommodation was beautifully kitted out; my favourite feature was the hammock on the deck!

The privacy of your own yard, deck and airstream was wonderful. The location to the best beach we've been at. Maccaws and howler monkeys to observe. The hosts were amazing, attention to detail was beyond expected.

“Stay Here. Magical Oasis on the beach.”

A tropical oasis. Not just a quirky stay, but genuinely beautiful accomodation, where every detail is thought out - from design to facillties. We had everything we wanted and more. Host Kris was so lovely and welcoming. It all made for a very special stay. Was actually more spacious than I was expecting too. My boyfriend is 6ft5 and even he felt comfortable in the caravan. Also, being a stone's throw from the beach was the cherry on the cake. Samara itself is a 10min drive, but to be honest for us that was part of the appeal. STAY HERE, you won't regret it!!! “A little peace of heaven in Playa Carrillo”

We had an amazing stay at La Caravana! Everything is really well-thought, even in the tiniest details and the location is just perfect, what a dream to wake up by the beach!! Kris is a very attentive host too, thank you for everything.

We fell in love with this quirky little spot the moment we arrived. Three vintage caravans have been transformed into the most charming accommodations we’ve seen, and we’ve traveled to over 70 countries, staying in many hotels, including many boutique and luxury ones. We stayed at the Avion, but Argosy and Airstream looked as lovely. Positioned perfectly, just meters from one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches. Several good restaurants are within walking distance, as well as a small grocery shop. Even more restaurants to choose from in nearby Samara, just 5-minute drive away. La Caravana is intimate, magical, and utterly unique. I would recommend it to a friend!

What can I say – we were lucky enough to book this unique little piece of paradise for four nights. It’s truly a dream of a tiny house by the beach, with a lovely little garden and a spacious terrace packed with extras. Communication with Kris was absolutely wonderful. She always made sure our stay was special and regularly checked in to see if everything was okay. She also offered activities and helped us plan them directly through her. We definitely want to come back!

Kris and Guillermo were amazing hosts. When we asked for advice on surfing and dining, they provided excellent recommendations. They were very attentive to our needs and full of energy. This is a place where I don’t know where to start as it simply takes your breath away. From communication with Kris before we even arrived, her tips for food, action, insights and the nice conversations on side, to our first home the Airstream in the middle of a dream jungle. Every detail was just perfect (books, magazine’s, kitchen equipment, bed,…) Once you arrive you have to be careful to not stay here forever, which would be a pity as the beach right in front of the property is just breathtaking and you just need to put on your bikini, grab the provided beach towel and literally jump into the ocean after 50 meters. We where fortunate to also stay in the Argosy for one night which was a move from jungle heaven to desert dreams in every detail. I personally fell in love with the brick terrace, the outdoor shower and am now dreaming of building up something as beautiful for myself and my husband. Our time here really inspired us and thats what time off should do. Guille & Kris thank you so much ♥️

“Beautifully place - across the beach and the set-up itself”

Beautiful place itself as we lived in a trailer with all you need plus equipped with lots of love and details. The garden is so lovely with a shower outside - specially when you come back from the ocean. The beautiful beach is just across the street - stunning all in all!!

“A perfect beach oasis of boutique charm with excellent hospitality”

La Caravana was a perfect oasis of boutique charm situated directly opposite an idyllic palm lined and quiet beach Playa Carrillo. Kris was the perfect hostess, extremely warm and welcoming and always available to volunteer recommendations for local restaurants or live music etc La Caravana itself is fully equipped with anything you might need. It's perfectly presented with lovely touches, beach throws, outdoor garden shower, hammock, bbq, books etc just to name a few. It's situated a short walk from a few really nice restaurants and a local grocery store and a short drive to the slightly more populated town of Samara and also some great beaches for turtle watching. We really didn't want to leave. I'd highly recommend a visit.
