The food in this hotel restaurant was wonderful, easily the best we had during our 4 weeks travel in Costa Rica. The welcome and charming service from Ramon, his son Sebastian and all the staff was warm and caring, we were made to feel special as were the other guests staying there! Ramon's contacts were also excellent, he arranged a spectacular whale spotting trip with Samara Sea Tours and took us on a fishing trip to see the sunset. The location was central. We were sad to leave and send our warm regards now back in the UK.

Second year I stay at Casa Esmeralda! , always a pleasure, staff is incredibly friendly, everuthing is super clean and food is DELICIOUS, traditional breakfast is the best, will always stay there when going to Samara.

Hard to tell which one was the one I liked the most when everything was outstanding, *I was traveling by myself so one of the worries was safety, the gang led by Ramon Vargas made everything to make me feel at home, they were so friendly and welcome. *The food🤤, I have to say without any doubt this is one of the best restaurants in Samara, I saw many tourist visiting the restaurant ,but what it got my attention was seeing locals and foreigner going to the restaurant more than one time in the same week, even waiting for a table to be available. That tells you how good the food is there 🥰 *Hotel facilities are great, the rooms have AC, Fan, TV, they were very clean, quiet, no mosquitos at all🥰, In general the hotel facilities were more than I expected. *The location is very good for some one traveling by herself, it is very close to the beach, restaurants super markets,local banks, etc however it is in a quiet area of the town, free of traffic noise. In general it was a great experience, I will choose this hotel for my next visit. PD: I travel every year to Samara 1 or 2 times a year so I am pretty confident of my objective opinion.

This is a great location, as it is away from much of the dusty traffic. An easy short walk to everything. Great restaurant. Ramon, the host was exceptional!

Nothing exceptional...but great value for the money. The first room we were given didn't fit our needs so we spoke to the front desk and they switched our room right away. Staff were great... breakfast was great...room was great...a/c worked great....just nice when things are the way they should be
