Staff was super nice and friendly. The place was clean and had a very relaxed atmosphere. It was a pretty good location, a little far from the center, but not too far, and right next to a shop and a small restaurant.

The staff was very welcoming, gave me some tips for the area. A lot of stuff to use for cooking.

Such a safe and welcoming vibe! Just by looking at the outside you can tell this is a place to feel comfortable at. The drawings on the walls inside make you really feel like this is more than just your typical hostel. The fact there are only three four-bedroom rooms in the main house makes it feel much less intimidating to me at least.The staff was always so sweet and immediately helped me out anytime I needed something. The cat that has “adopted” the hostel as his home is super sweet but watch out for him if you’re eating cereal or a ham sandwich.

The location was perfect. The staff were INCREDIBLE!! Kevin, Andre and Alejandro were incredibly hospitable, they felt like true homies! The nature was unreal, the garden was very precious.

It was the best hostel we went to in costa rica. The vibe was very good. We were supposed to stay 4 night and we decided to stay for 10. Thank you Kevin and Avery for your hospitality. It was a pleasure!

We really enjoyed our stay in casa terra, I was there with a friend of mine for 8 nights and we honestly had so mouch fun. There’s very mouch stuff to do around Samara, so many nice people to meet and the hostel is located a bit out of the center which is pretty neat because you get to have a nice chill spot whenever you feel like you could need a rest:) The vibe of the hostel is pretty cool because it feels almost like home. You have a cozy chill out area on the terasse with nature surrounding you. The personal was very nice and friendly too, I think most of them are actually volunteers. And there was that one guy Kevin who showed us so mouch around the City it was very fun going out with him and also just to chill at the hostel:) He’s super friendly and helpful and it’s crazy how many people he knows in Sámara😂 So if you’re looking for a nice cozy hostel which is in the perfect distance to the town centre Cassa terra should be the choice

Amazing staff, volunteers and vibes. I was only planning to stay 2-3 nights here but I extended and stayed for 7 days in total. Loved the hostel and Sámara!

Very welcoming

More than just a hostel! I received such a warm welcome and felt at home right away. The place is full of handmade signs, art, and personal touches — cozy, unique, and full of good vibes. The beach and town are within easy walking distance (10-15 min) and there’s a supermarket just around the corner. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful — they really make this place special.
