“This stay was really unforgettable”

This location was very nice and peaceful. With my sister we rented an appartement with 2 bedrooms, a big living-room, kitchen and bathroom. The atmosphere was so cosy. In the morning, we heard soft piano music in the garden and other soft music in the evening. The owner, Thomas, went to great lengths to make sure everything was perfect and was always nice, friendly and helpful. It was only about a 3-minute walk to the sea, and Samara Beach is a real paradise.

Due to lack of restaurants within walking distance, the well equipped communal kitchen was a great asset. Thomas is very welcoming, accommodating and produces yummy breakfast!

Great location very close to the beach and remote from the noise of the city. Thomas is a great host very caring about his guests. Nice and friendly. Very good breakfast

Tomas the owner was very kind and hospitable

This was a lovely place to finish my trip in Costa Rica. The garden is beautiful. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. Walking to town via the beach takes about 20 minutes. Otherwise, you will need to drive. Thomas, the host is lovely and kind. I visited with the other guests and had wonderful conversations. There were a few kitties around, and that made me very happy. Sweet little guys. Thank you, Thomas, for being a wonderful host. I hope I can visit again.

“Very nice for the price”

Great breakfast large clean rooms with a bath. If you drive, go a mile or so down the road to playa carillo. You wont be dissapointed. Most beautiful beach I have seen.

Nice accomodatin, good breakfast, somewhat away from actual Samara so more quiet (which we liked)

“For us this was a cozy oasis and will come again!”

My partner and I found it to be a small oasis of a stay. The staff, especially Ana, was warm and welcoming and Thomas, the owner was available for any need and resources in the area. We felt safe. There are four rooms with an outdoor kitchen and small sitting pool which lent itself to a community atmosphere where we easily met and spent time with the other guests from around the world. My partner hurt her foot and Thomas and Anna were quick to provide ice and a downstairs room, as well as a ride into town one day, where we got fresh fish and had an impromptu and festive holiday meal together with other guests. Breakfasts with fresh fruit, eggs, toast and rice and beans were tasty. The cabinas are an easy 10 minute walk to the beach and 30-40 minute walk on the beach into downtown Samara. Dogs are welcome. Thomas has bikes to rent and kayak recommendations. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends! Pura Vida!

“Feeling at home footsteps away from the beach”

Thomas is a great host, I felt home the minute I entered his place, beach and ocean are footsteps away, the room is spacious, comfy mattress, the cats and chickens which call this place home are cute

Tomas was an attentive operator.He had coffee and fruit daily.Full breakfasts avaliabe for purchase.Lovely setting lots of plants and trees.Very close to playa Samara.Will be back for sure.

“Peaceful”

The room was basic but clean. There was an adequate shared kitchen and lovely garden with hammocks and a jacuzzi to relax in when it was too hot for the beach . The property is just one block back from a beach generally safe for swimming, from where there are amazing sunsets. The location is very peaceful, well away from the bustle of Samara; we awoke each morning to the sounds of chickens, birdsong , and howler monkeys in the distance.

“Lovely place, very close to the beach and surrounded by nature.”

We had a great time a this place. It’s very close to Samara beach and only few minutes by car to all the restaurants in town. Offering nice tranquil stay away from the tourist crowds. Thomas is an excellent host who has created a small piece of paradise here over the last 30 years. He offered lots of help, including to organize freshly fought fish for us. Nice breakfast is served every morning with relaxing piano music. Nice bonus of having a whirlpool at the property to be used by everyone. Shared kitchen is available but might not be to everyone’s liking, but there is plenty of restaurants available as alternative.

“Little tropical paradise for a fantastic price - refreshing whirlpool included”

This is a little paradise. The outside facilities were very clean and full of plants and flowers. You feel like walking into a paradise garden. Breakfast was great with fruit and toast. Host was super helpful and friendly. They even have a refreshing whirlpool. And there is a shared kitchen for you to use should you whish to cook for yourself. At the time of my booking this was the cheapest option for a double room including breakfast. Even though a bit outside of downtown Samara, it's a very nice walk across the beach, so I didn't mind it...

Thomas was an excellent host! His place is lovely and peaceful, very close to the beach. I had a great night's stay!

“Affordable and tranquil stay in Samara”

Affordable, spacious room. The pool is ideal for cooling down a bit. Breakfast is good. Access to the kitchen is a big plus. Nice and quiet neighborhood. The ocean is calmer than in other beaches on this peninsula, ideal for smaller children or learning to surf.
