Set in Samara just a one-minute walk from the beach, Blue Iguana features a swimming pool and on-site award-winning Asian Sushi restaurant. Rooms dirty, security is a 10 cent latch, restaurant is lousy. Very hot - fan was too small and too weak. Pool and bar both good. Rooms cheap, but certainly get no more than you pay for.

“Loved my stay here”
Booked the place for the location and because it was one of only 2 in town accepting credit cards but was pleasantly surprised and extended for a week. Rooms were dark and somewhat dated (but, e.g., while my AC was very old, saw the room next door have a brand new one so they may be upgrading things) and the kitchen, although well-equipped, a total mess in grave need of some food marking/scheduled disposal practices. Still, the property overall was amazing – very friendly and efficient staff, big pool with multiple lounge chairs, on-site restaurant with great food (and music), and a bar with different events every night but far enough to keep the rooms quiet.

The environment was nice. I liked the volunteer staff. Breakfast was excellent. Location excellent. I felt safe in the area and it was lit up well. Very close to main town.
