This traditional hotel in Salzwedel is located close to the Neuperver Tor gate, on the banks of the river Jeetze. It enjoys easy access to the scenic Lüneburger Heide heath. Dating from 1872, the privately run Hotel Union offers cosy, light-flooded rooms with modern, en-suite facilities. “Super Stopover”
Extremely friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Excellent for a one-night stopover between e.g between Copenhagen and Nurnberg. Quiet and off-the-beaten track. Very nice breakast. Good value for money evening meal outside on patio.

Young lady-waiter/receptionist could have had a little more help. Had to wait and she was stressed out. Normally more relaxed atmosphere.
