Overview
Set in Saly Portudal, Hotel Royam offers a tropical garden with outdoor swimming pool and private beach. It has a shaded terrace with sun beds, a cocktail bar and tours and entertainment are organised. The air-conditioned guest rooms are set in bungalows with traditional, African decoration. They have a private terrace with garden or pool views and a private bathroom. Some rooms also have a minibar, a TV or sea views. The breakfast buffet offers a range of pastries, crêpes, fresh fruits, eggs, cereals and cheese. The restaurant with sea and garden views serves traditional, local cuisine and there is also a snack-bar. Free private parking and free Wi-Fi in public areas are provided. Massages can be enjoyed on site and there are watersport activities like windsurf, jet ski, paddle boat or sea fishing nearby. Guests can go on quad or buggy excursions or horse riding. Bandia Nature Reserve is located just 15 km away and Dakar Airport is 33 km away.

My room was lovely and quiet tucked away in the corner . The beach is beautiful but couldn't swim as the sea is freezing but that's no fault of the hotel staff lovely and friendly but this hotel does not really have any music for English people mainly French. I enjoyed my birthday week at this beautiful hotel . Thank you so much. 💓

“A perfect 3 day get away”
Hotel was clean very welcoming, food was abundant with vast variety! It was not possible to have a late checkout but the hotel gave us the possibility to store our luggage and shower before our departure! Very appreciated

“Nice hotel for some winter sun, about an hours drive from the Airport. Speaking French is helpful.”
The hotel was lovely, nice pool and access to a good beach. We were half board and all the meals were excellent. Air Con was quiet and effective. No signs of any Mosquitoes.

“Excellent luxury hotel on a beautiful beach”
The delux rooms near the beach are wonderful and the whole ambiance of the hotel gives a feeling of exceptional quality. The loungers on the beach are really spaced out and never full and the beach cafe / bar is wonderful. The food was always really good.

“Truly exceptional”
The food is excellent, the staff is nice and the beach is very close to the hotel. The rooms are cleaned every day, we really enjoyed our stay, I recommend it! Breakfast was always buffet style and dinner was sometimes buffet style and sometimes from a menu where there was a choice of three meals.

I stayed in this beautiful four stars hotel with by beloved and beautiful girlfriend. The view and the location were great : right at the beach. The staff was very friendly. However, my girlfriend encountered a bad experience with the cleaning staff: some of her make up (foundation) mysteriously disappeared which we had realized when coming from breakfast and after the morning cleanup service. The issue has been raised with the reception who did not seem to be concerned. The product was never found.
