We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Hortebise. The hosts were friendly and helpful. It was great to have a kettle and fridge in the room. The bed was very comfortable but unfortunately the pillows were hard. Our breakfast was delicious ,so much to choose from and also the scrambled eggs were so tasty- probably the best breakfast we have had over our trip of 3 weeks.

Corinne and Cedric were exceptional hosts. The property is very comfortable. The breakfast is superb, especially the homemade bread and jams.

Villa Hortebise is a lovely big house within easy walking distance of the town centre and it has ample on-site parking. Our deluxe double room was fabulous with a four poster bed and furniture that is very traditional, but done in a modern way. There is also a balcony overlooking the lovely garden but as we couldn’t check in until five o’clock, and were only staying for one night, we weren’t able to take full advantage of such lovely facilities. Breakfast was served in the beautiful living room and with the views over the lovely garden to the shuttered mansion across the street, it was the archetypical image of a French country manor scene. Although we were offered eggs cooked to order, we were both content to have a simple selection of fruit, cheeses, jams and wonderfully crusty rustic bread and pastries. This is a beautiful house owned by a lovely family. It is in a very scenic area and we would like to come back here for a lazy few days.

Corinne and Cedric are lovely people who made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were just perfect: proper English tea in a teapot (!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣 surprisingly important to a travelling Englishwoman), good coffee, perfect scrambled eggs, delicious patisserie... Corinne's friendly advice on places to visit was extremely helpful - we visited places we'd never have thought to go, based on just a Google search. The hotel is situated just a 15-minute walk from the centre of Salies and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was great, I wish we could have taken it home with us.

The welcome was friendly and our room had a touch of luxury in the drapes and bedlinen and period furniture. Breakfast was excellent and in nice surroundings. We were able to walk down into town, less than a ten minute walk. There we were able to find a choice of eating places.

The breakfasts were excellent…many choices..home-made jams ,cakes… The bathroom was well organized with a good shower, nice towels and good lighting. Beautiful windows overlooking the garden and countryside. The host and hostess were welcoming.

“Excellent romantic getaway”

Corrine was absolutely amazing in accommodating us for a last minute reservation for our 7th wedding anniversary. The villa was beautiful and our room was beyond perfect. The artwork, the grand bathroom and all of the extra amenities were exquisite and beyond our expectations. The breakfast was quite wonderful as were the conversations my husband had with Corrine. We would definitely return when in the area!
