“No one to greet us for check in - told us to 'come back tomorrow'.”

We arrived at 11 pm, and there was no one to greet us. We contacted security and were told that we should 'come back tomorrow'. I explained we had only booked for one night. We ended up having to get a taxi at 11:30 pm after finishing a hike to another accommodation. There was no real engagement or apology after, even despite being charged half the price of our stay. I spoke to the hotel the following day, and they told me that they thought I would be a 'no show', yet no real effort was made to contact me beforehand or to explain that check-in had to be done before 10 pm. Considering they had my details, their lack of communication was shocking.

The property and location were very beautiful. It is set up high on a hill from a beautiful country road. The garden is thoughtfully planted & maintained. The decor was very tasteful and I loved that it incorporated handicrafts from the region. The breakfasts were delicious. We also had 2 dinners & found that the choice, presentation and food were really exceptional.

Sazagua was a wonderful place to stay in the Cocora Valley ! The staff very welcoming and the setting is stunning !

Breakfast and dinner slow. Some transport related imperfections in planning the experiences they offer. Completely unacceptable to ask for more money on transportation after the experience.

I recommend the hotel. I am extremely satisfied with the tours organized by the hotel, the one at the Coffee Farm is a unique experience, I highly recommend it. The guide David, who they hired, was exceptional - accurate, with sufficient information, with the ability to show places where there are not many tourists.

“A rare gem of a hotel”

The hotel is a real gem. Cannot recommend enough. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous, a well-balanced mix of comfort, style and modernity. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had mountain views from the room, including from the (hot) shower in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, in fact we ate most meals in the restaurant, so we tried most of the menu, and everything was spot on. The location is fantastic, we mostly used Uber to get around and it was very easy.
