“Friendly staff, great kitchen facilities and beautiful views”

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The kitchen facilities were excellent, with everything you need to cook for yourself. The kitchen was also kept in a very clean and well-maintained condition by the staff, even when guests did not clean up properly. There was a great view, reliable hot showers, and liquid soap dispensers both for handwashing and in the shower. A powerful standing fan was also provided, which made the stay comfortable, along with extra blankets for colder nights.

Love the atmosphere, the quietness, the good kitchen, available filtered water, and hot coffee available and ready in the morning, the staff is super nice, love to chat with everyone of them, Diego and his sister who managed the place are very friendly - I loved listening the sounds of the horses passing in the street.the view from the backyard where you can have your meals! Everything was great

Very close to the main square. Lovely outside area with fantastic views of the hills. Amazing light and comfortable rooms. Enough blankets to keep you warm at night. Two pillows each Fan worked effectively through the day. Really nice shower with hot water Kitchen area was spotlessly clean to use Free coffee provided in the morning Very friendly staff Reception staff helped us to sort transport to our next destination

The location was brilliant, a short walk into town (few minutes) the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the views from the terrace are fantastic. would recommend

“Pleasant stay in the heart of Salento”

Nice hostel in a great part of the town, there is a shop next door and it's a short walk to all of the shops, restaurants and bars. The staff are friendly and they have kitchen facilities which you can use, plus a nice garden terrace with lovely views. The room was basic but has everything you need and it's pretty good value for money despite being quite small

“Well priced accommodation in Salento, a must stay”

We really liked Hostal Villa del Sol. We stayed in the room behind reception which had a door entering the main terrace. We really enjoyed our time here. It was super comfortable to relax especially in the evenings when the thunderstorms can be seen in the distance over the mountains coming through to Salento. The kitchen facilities were great for our breakfast, the room was quite comfortable. The shower was big. I quite enjoyed staying away from the main road here. The 3 of the rooms are on the roadside which are quite noisy in the mornings with our room and the other room situated at the back. The resident cat is amazing. We would spend our evenings after dinner sitting on the terrace with the cat on our laps. We loved it.

We loved this place in Salento it felt really homely and the staff were so friendly and nice. The little kitchen had everything you need as well as coffee and water and the wifi was really good. Room was comfortable and had a lovely hot shower! View out the back of the hostel was breathtaking!

Amazing place! Simple, nice view, good coffee and such a friendly staff (and a beautiful and fluffy cat!) Diego and Gabriela are really nice, always helpful with information. And least but not less important: certainly the most comfortable bed and the best shower I've had in two weeks in Colombia.
