“Great stay in Salento”

The property was very open with lots of places to chill. It wasn’t a super busy hostel but enough to meet new people. It was also very close to the center of Salento. Also the free jacuzzi night was a great addition.

Great location, very social, owners were so lovely and the free breakfast was yum. Also they have so many cute cats!

It's a really nice area to relax and meet other travellers. There are hammocks to relax but also a pool table and open kitchen to cook and socialise. The people who worked there were incredible and a shout out to Carolina who was super helpful and lovely. The cats were a great bonus, they are super chill and cute.

Nice clean rooms and great outdoor area feels like a little oasis in the city and the hot tub was really nice to use in the evening

Nice shared spaces, rooms are basic but clean. Big plus is the activities every night like playing local games such as tejo; easy to meet other people and fun!

“Cozy hostal great vibes”

Very nice cozy place. It feels like you enter different world , different from other surrounding in Salento. The stuff is super nice and helpful… available all the time on phone and physically

Jefferson and Veronica were super friendly and kind. Loved all the cats. Location was excellent and when I was there it was very sociable.

Estrella del Sur is conveniently and centrally located in Salento and is a great location to get to everything you need. The staff were also incredibly helpful, especially Carolina, and we loved all the hostel cats!

“Overall a nice stay...”

Location was great. Good to have a kitchen to use (though could do with some more items like a seive). My partner also appreciated the pull up bar and weights. Friendly staff and lots of events on in the day and evenings (though we didn't attend but heard good feedback from other guests).

Rooms are small but fine, it feels a bit "wet" from the walls but thats not a big issue. Hangmocks around the area. Everyone working here is super nice and friendly! 🤩 They have a WA group where they will post all the events going on - and they really have a lot. :) we had chocolate con Queso evening and game night 🤗 really cool! Breakfast is basic but also really good. You get a lot of fruit, tee and coffee 🫶🏼 They really try to keep the place clean thats also a plus 🤩 Can definitely recommend! So close to the main square and across from shakshuka!! Best restaurant in town!! 🤗

Staff is super friendly and they organise some activities so you can meet some other travelers. Lovely garden and common areas.

Location is the best! Super close to the centre so easy to move around to all the great spots of Salento. Has a supern nice jacuzzi to chill in a cold day

Location was great, a 5 minute walk to the main square of Salento. Lovely large communal garden with plenty of seating options. Friendly host Jefferson who checked us in and explained everything in good English.
