The best place to stay in Salento. It's very close to the center by walk, and located in a quiet area away from the noise. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the view is magnificent. The staff are very friendly and incredibly helpful. You can get advice on things to do. Breakfast was very good. Thank you for everything!

The location was great! Stunning views and a birdsong to wake up to were reasons enough to stay there. Walk 5-10 mins to the town. Helpful to have a phone and use a flashlight at night, coming back to the hotel. Breakfast was good. The staff is helpful. Overall, a great stay.

A cozy place with a charming views. Very welcoming host who gives you recommendations and explains a bit about the city. Being a bit outside city gives you a relaxing time in beautiful scenery with sounds of nature.

Everything here is just perfect! A short walk from town but the serenity and beauty of nature. Views to sir for. Great facilities, amazing breakfast. Christina was fantastic- we just had a short stop in Serento and she helped us make the most of every minute. Can highly recommend La Recuardo coffee tour. Gran Azul really is great value for money.

If you are looking for a place in the nature just 6 minutes walk from the center of salento, this place is your best option. Christina and her team are so lovely and kind. Enjoy the calm and the view!

Amazing staff! Cristina and Carlos had great recommendations and were super helpful in organizing activities (Cocora Valley, coffee plantation, within Salento, private shuttle). Both speak perfect English and Cristina speaks German too. Hotel is less than 10min walking distance from Calle Real and has at the same time an amazing view. Rooms very nicely decorated, looks better than in the pictures.

Beautiful views and charming boutique hotel. The hotel is located 10 min walk from the main town. Excellent service and family run place, with the added bonus of a very cute puppy. The rooms are very spacious and clean, offer fantastic views. Continental style breakfast with the option to have eggs made to your liking. One of the guests did not eat eggs and was offered oatmeal as an option which was great.

Gran Azul was absolutely wonderful! It is a stunning property, waking up to the views and seeing the horse and mule in the field was so lovely. We saw amazing birds, including a barranquero! The garden and all the different plants on the property are exotic and stunning. The breakfast was lovely and made to order, served in a gorgeous communal living area. Carlos, was phenomenal host, so helpful and accommodating. He gave excellent recommendations for a local rainforest alliance traditional coffee fincas and a cacao/ chocolate finca tour as well. The hotel was very well located a few minutes down a dirt road from the charming town of Salento.. We rented a car and were able to drive there easily. Carlos allowed us to park the car there while we walked to the town on foot to explore. We would 100% go back. The room was spacious and clean, had charming touches! And I can't forget Rock, the sweetest German Shepherd.

The views are stunning, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Carlos advised us to do the Cabonera tour with downhill mountain biking, instead of doing it by jeep/hiking, and it was an amazing experience. All the other recommendations (which coffee farm to visit and restaurants) were great as well. Rooms are clean and kept nice and tidy. The place is just a bit out of Salento (5-10min walk up the hill), but this gives the benefits of the view, enjoy tranquility and still be able to enjoy the town and vibe of Salento.

We had a really great time at the Gran Azul. The view from the is breathtaking and the relaxing atmosphere is a very nice contrast to the town center of Salento which was very busy as it was a 3 day weekend. The staff was super friendly and communication via WhatsApp was easy. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. The town is just a short walk away and we always felt very safe even when coming back after dinner. Highly recommend this place - would come back any time.
