Have the most amazing large room

We loved our stay with Merilyn and Bruce! They were the perfect hosts and the apartment was really lovely, private and quiet. There was plenty of food for breakfast, large variety of teas and a great coffee machine. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was sparkling clean. We also got some excellent tips from Merilyn on what to see in the area. Highly recommended. Thank you Merilyn and Bruce :)

What a gem of a place! Our stay at Salamander Bay Bed and Breakfast was simply wonderful, and a big part of that was thanks to the incredible owners, Merilyn and Bruce. These two lovely people truly embody what hospitality is all about. We had the pleasure of sharing a glass of wine together and swapping life and travel stories, the kind of genuine, warm connection that is truly what Australia is all about and it made our stay absolutely unforgettable! Merilyn also went above and beyond by listening to what we wanted to do and personally putting together a program of must-see and must-do activities around the area, complete with a map. That level of care and attention is just extraordinary, she really made sure we made the most of our time in the region. And the room itself? A delight! So beautifully decorated and filled with fascinating books and curiosities, just sitting in the room was entertaining and exciting, there was always something new to discover! The property itself was peaceful, clean and comfortable, everything you could ask for in a bed and breakfast. But it's Merilyn and Bruce's warmth, kindness and genuine interest in their guests that sets this place apart from anything else. If you're looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want to feel truly welcomed, inspired and at home, then Salamander Bay Bed and Breakfast is the place to be. This property is a home away from home. An oasis of tranquility, an amazing garden and pool for your own use. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast abundant and the studio apartment is private. If you love nature, you wake up with views of gumtrees from your windows. Being greeted by genuine great Australian hosts who love what they do is what makes this place special. Thank you Merilyn and Bruce, we enjoyed our stay and will hope to come back.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast. From the moment we arrived, Merilyn and Bruce welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we instantly felt at home. They are truly exceptional hosts, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The continental breakfast was absolutely fabulous — fresh, generous, and the perfect start to each day. Our room was amazing, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The thoughtful personal touches throughout made our stay feel extra special. The gardens were a real highlight too — peaceful, beautifully kept, and the perfect place to sit and enjoy breakfast. We only wish we’d had enough time to enjoy the gorgeous pool as well, but that just gives us another reason to come back. The location was ideal for everything we wanted to do, making our stay both relaxing and convenient. Merilyn and Bruce went above and beyond in every way, and we’re so grateful for their hospitality. We truly hope to return.

This was our first experience in a B&B and I was blown away by how beautiful this experience was for us. The B&B was so lovely, everything we needed and a gorgeous property to stay in. The owners were so down to earth and generous. It was like we had known them all our lives. They were so knowledgeable about cafes and places to go and honest. We will definitely be back in the future 🙌

Lovely hosts and a great location which is central to drive to the various coastal spots. Beautiful tropical style gardens and a pool to use. A large studio room, A/C was used for some hot weather we had. Note the steps up to the room may be tricky for the elderly or less mobile. Own parking spot, all very secure.
