Generously sized room where hotel rooms in Japan normally run small -- the space was well-appointed with bed, coffee table, small sofa, TV, and small dresser, with room for luggage. Breakfast buffet had a great variety, and the presence of a spa was appreciated after a long day out and about. Staff were professional and helpful and conversational in English, which helped tremendously. Location is situated 30min-1h (depending on traffic) away from the main Nara city, but access was no issue with a car.

Off the tourist route. But close to Nara and Osaka. Excellent location at Sakurai station. Great value for money. Staff very friendly helpful. Room as expected for price range. Super clean with comfy bed and linens. Breakfast good Would stay here again

“A very nice and quiet hotel to stay, and at a very reasonable price.”
Location - next to JR / Kintetsu train station and bus station, shorten travelling time when visiting places nearby. Breakfast - good variety of choices. Room - more spacious than expected.

“Incredibly convenient and very comfortable.”
We needed somewhere to stay between Nara and Akame 48. This was great, right next to the train station. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. We did some washing, at the coin laundry which was handy.

“Great hotel for short stays and great location”
The location is very good as it is just a few steps from the Sakurai station. The place is nice. They have a wonderful Ohuro. It makes the stay special. The staff is very good, efficient and courteous. The place is clean. They have good coin laundromats. They have good looking and comfortable Yukatas/Pyjamas for night wear.

“This was my 2nd stay at Route-Inn Sakurai Ekimae and I will continue repeating.”
Breakfast was of Route-Inn standard, Japanese/Western - always good and filling. Public bath was great.
