“An amazing stay in lovely cottage house”

The place is amazing! House on the road to the beach, very clean, quiet and pleasant. One bedroom upstairs for adults and small rooms for children (beds are not standard size). Very nice kitchen with everything you need. And comfortable bathroom. We were there at the end of April and met only a few tourists. There are great trekking areas nearby with a stunning view. I highly recommend this place to stay.

The cottage is well equipped as well as being quaint. It reminded me a bit of my grandparent's house when I was a child. It is in a scenic setting. Torgerd (the hostess) was friendly and responsive. We were very happy with our choice.

Cottage was traditional, cosy and spotlessly clean. Like others wrote, it’s small so the tall among us had to stoop a bit. The stairs is steep. It is a cottage after all ;) Space in cottage is very well planned, my two teenage children were delighted to have a bedroom each (there was even a 4th bedroom for a smaller child). Kitchen is very well equipped to make all meals. I can honestly say I can’t remember if I ever have eaten my meals with such a good view. The sounds of the sheep, birds and water were wonderful. The weather was quite cold, wet and windy - the cottage was cosy and warm - perfect after being out in such weather. The owner was very easy to communicate with.

If you want to stay off the beaten track, then this authentic Faroese house, is the one you want to stay over for a couple of nights. At Saksun we.had a wonderful quiet time and we're experiencing the elements at it's best. Sun, rain, mist... Great cosy house to be in 😊. The hikes in the area are just great.

Saksun is an idyllic place. Choosing a holiday in the Faroe Islands, you can't get any better. Cottage at the end of the world, surrounded by beautiful surroundings, sufficiently equipped, clean. Of course, you need a car to visit the Faroe Islands. The other option is rather difficult to implement. I highly recommend.
