Sakaide Grand Hotel is a large hotel near the harbour area of Sakaide. The hotel - as well as most of Sakaide itself - has a bit of Showa-romance felling. The rooms are largend the breakfast is great! There is a public bath on the third floor, but upon arriving you may be given a ticket for the nearby large public bath, where most of the towns people seem to go in the evening.

“Everything is in order, for 5k per night it's really good value, sound proofing doesn't exist though”
The room is clean, everything is working just fine (yet old) - considering the really good price (5k yen per night for a single room) it's a rather good deal. The staff is friendly and the front desk is operated 24/7 (at least at all times when I went by someone was there). There's a (free?) public bath in the 3F - I didn't go there, so I can't comment on that. Getting to the hotel from Sakaide Station is ~1k per Taxi and would be my recommendation if you're not up for a longer walk.
