“Tranquil stay - short walk to Saintes - wonderful hosts make your stay very special”

Laurent and Lynne are wonderful hosts and Saintes is such a beautiful city. I highly recommend a stay at Les Persiennes. Nestled in a quiet residential part of Saintes, this property is a hidden gem. It is so tranquil, yet a short walk from Saintes centre. Laurent and Lynne have created a little bit of countryside in the heart of town, with hens, goats and songbirds. We did not use the pool in April, but its a good size so I can imagine it would be heavenly in the Summer months. Breakfast is lovely with homemade jams from fruit trees in the garden. Lovely to chat to them both, Laurent & Lynne recommended excellent restaurants and gave advice on the whole area including the western beaches and sites to see. Thanks so much for an excellent stay. We will return....oh, and the king size bed was sooo comfortable. Thankyou.

Les Persiennes is a very nice accommodation. Comfortable, with very friendly hosts and on a walking distance to the nice city centre of Saintes. The breakfast was good and the accommodation sell home made products.

We had a greatl stay in Les Persiennes. The owners were very friendly and informed us of a number of restaurants that were worth visiting. The actual accommodation was wonderful and is in a good location. It is beautifully set out and is very quiet and relaxing. The owners produce their own jams and fruits and these were used as part of the excellent breakfast. There is also a pool which, unfortunately, we didn't have time to try out.

“Oasis of Calm”

Superb hosts, exquisite food and drink, the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, we just cannot find fault with this wonderful oasis of calm. Nothing was too much trouble, and the ambiance was second to none. Anyone staying here will have an absolute treat.

Most friendly host (Laurent) and his wife gave us a very warm feeling and also an enjoyful, tastful diner (table d’hotes). She is English by birth and he speaks English very well. The accommodation was superb: very cosy superior room (groundfloor), well equiped bathroom, excellent double bed, many (USB-) sockets and international plug included. Wifi is good and room was very clean. Breakfast was outstanding with confiture from their own garden. Car parking is on site behind closed gate. A very recommendable accommodation!

Everything! Well located, 15 minutes walk to the old center of Saintes, very quiet. The room we had was in the hosts' house who were very friendly and welcoming. Comfortable bed, very tastefully decorated room/house and great home made breakfast. Don't hesitate to book there!

Friendly welcome & the owner moved his car so we could park behind the gates. Our room was in the garden & had all the facilities for a comfortable stay. The fruit trees there meant that there was homemade jams & compote for breakfast. We also had a homemade evening meal & dessert. Would recommend.

Warm, helpful greeting from Laurent the host. Excellent accommodation to the rear of the house. Large well appointed room with very comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. The exterior courtyards were well appointed with seating areas An added bonus in hot weather would be the swimming pool and also the joy is seeing the hens, goat and one sheep in an enclosure at the end. Breakfast was wonderful. Served with an array of gorgeous jams from fruits from their garden Would highly recommend purchasing them! The town was an easy five minutes walk away, using me map provided Well worth the visit and the Roman remains, Abbey and the old town with many shops and restaurants. Very nice room and bathroom. Quiet and private, in the lovely garden of the residence. The host was very welcoming and helpful with information and directions. Breakfast was good.

Well located about 15mins walk from town..as we had good weather we didn't need to use the car. Breakfast was good & at a time to suit you. Lynn & Laurent we're very genial & helpful. The room was beautiful
