“Lovely, quirky home with plenty of room, and a beautiful garden”

A superb location just a few minutes from the main train station, and an ideal budget option for visiting Saintes. I was staying in one of the rooms in the pretty garden annex, a good size and with a very comfortable double bed. The facilities are simple, but perfect for what I needed - with a sink, a table and chair. The shower is a standalone unit in the corner, but covered by a screen. The toilet is immediately outside, and shared with the room immediately opposite. The landlady and I managed to communicate despite our language barrier, and it was a pleasure to stay in her home.

Le Parisien was the perfect place to stay over during my travels to the Southwest of France. The ability to park securely at the hotel was well appreciated.

A great little family run place. The hostess was so kind with my limited french, so patient and helpful. She helped putting my motorbike in the garage and gave me information and tips on how to see Saintes. Super cool garden with an artistic splash. Location is perfect for hopping off the train and getting to your accomoation as Saintes centre was just a beautiful 10 minute walk down a tree lined boulvard.

The garden was absolutely gorgeous- the owner obviously spends a lot of time there. The owner was lovely very friendly and obliging. bed comfy and lovely fresh linen. coffee in garden for €1 - heaven!!

Le Parisien is a small traditional hotel in walking distance from the city centre of Saintes and close to the SNCF station. I could park my fully loaded car in the locked yard. The garden probably looks fantastic in spring and summer. 53 years ago I was an exchange student in Saintes and decided to go check up on the town again. Coming from Andalusia I was a bit disappointed because the it was much colder and no people in the streets of the old town. I liked the hotel, the service and the breakfast. Next time end of summer I will book Le Parisien again. The host was really friendly.

Very very good price. Bed was comfortable, owner was helpful. We could store our bikes securely.
