“Great hotel in rural France”

The room was clean, quiet (as requested), with a ceiling fan and good internet. Our bed was enormous and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our continental breakfast was plentiful and the normal fare. The hotel is situated on a roundabout about 10 minutes walk down hill to the old town, with its bars restaurants, and the river. Of course the return is uphill.

We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the years. Always welcome, staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. A good choice of food for breakfast. The location is very near the town centre , so close to many bars and restaurants.

It's close to the Amphitheater which we wanted to see on the evening we arrived. We were away the next day but the people running the property were very accommodating and helpful.

Easy to reach and also within walking distance of historic center. We stayed mid September with 20 degrees C, I can imagine in summer it can be warm in the rooms. We met very friendly staff a reception at check in. Free parking around hotel from 1800-0900 (I believe those are the times)

This is a comfortable mid-range hotel on the edge of Saintes town centre; shops, restaurants and the cathedral are all 5 to 10 minutes' walk. The rooms are comfortable and clean; staff were very friendly and breakfast was good value.

“Not posh, but good and clean, good value for money”

when you see the hotel from the outside, you think, oh no what have I booked! - but the reception was clean and the lady was very friendly. There is a lift. Our room was larger than I thought it would be with an enormous bed, the linen was clean. there was also a very large balcony, which was a bonus. the bathroom had the shower in the bath, but was hot and had a good pressure. This is not a posh hotel, but for what it was, I was pleasantly surprised. Really good value for money, it's right on the road, but even with the windows open...it was a really hot night, the traffic wasn't bad. There is a fan in the ceiling to keep you cool should you need it. Overall, great value for money, right in the centre of Saintes

Comfortable hotel in the centre of Saintes with friendly and welcoming staff. Secure covered bicycle storage in the hotel's garage. Good buffet breakfast with a wide choice. Very good value for money hotel close to the Charente River long-distance cycle route and only a 10 minute cycle to the train station. Close to restaurants the hotel is thoroughly recommended for a stay in Saintes.
