A lovely apartment on the edge of town. A beautiful house with a rich history. Alain and his wife, Fabian made us feel very welcome and I’d recommend a stay here if you’re visiting Troyes.

The property was a very grand old house steeped in history. The rooms were spacious with period features. It was warm and spacious.

Continental breakfast was lovely with the host going out to get fresh croissants and bread for us. Our room was enormous and very well appointed with high quality fixtures and fittings. Only a 15 minute walk into the medieval centre of Troyes.

Our host collected lovely fresh bread and croissants each morning for us to enjoy. There was fresh fruit each morning and a good range of home made conserves. We only had to ask and we were served with whatever we needed - hot milk for our coffee - local cheese - everything was excellent. The little kitchenette included in our accommodation was a real bonus. Our host gave us recommendations of a local French restaurant to eat at, which was wonderful, and the property had lots of local information and maps available to us. We could easily walk into Troyes. We had a wonderful stay.

Location was excellent, and I liked that there was off-street parking. The gate was locked overnight too, which meant for peace-of-mind that your car won't be bothered.

Great location, quiet. short 10 min walk into town where there are lots of great bars and restaurants. Very helpful host. Room clean and spacious. Breakfast basic but very good.

A beautiful property. Very welcoming. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Alain was very informative, and we managed to communicate fine with my very brief French. This was a stopover for us on our way to The Alps. We ate at Tour de Pizz around the corner, which was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was included and was delicious. We would stay here again.

“A real gem”

Alain was a super host - very welcoming and really helpful in giving us suggestions for the best places to visit during our short stay, as well as where to eat. We were looking for a convenient stop between the Alps and he Eurotunnel, and we found a gem of a stay the half a day and night we spent in Troyes felt like an extra day's holiday, not just a transit stop. Au fil de Troyes is easy to find, has plenty of secure parking, is 10 minutes walk to the old city, and the rooms are large, very well decorated with modern bathroom, good shower, large, comfy bed and the breakfast set us up well for the drive to Calais.

A great location with good parking. The property is 5 minute walk from the old town. The is good private off road parking. We had a room with a little kitchen which is great. real fast is in a lovely room upstairs. Alain the host is very keen to please and ensure you enjoy your stay. Good value.

Great location close to the centre of Troyes (15min walk), beautiful and very clean hotel with good breakfast! We had a very spacious room with a clean bathroom and small kitchen with all the amenities. Price/quality very good deal! The host is also very kind and helpful, we recommend this place and will surely be coming back if we visit Troyes!
