“A relaxed, comfortable, peaceful stay in a beautiful village setting”
An excellent location only 3 mins walk to the 'La Noue' village centre with two very good bistros and a super boulangerie. 'La Noue' is the quieter, older part of Ste Marie, with small pretty lanes full of tumbling roses, jasmine and lavender. Only a 10-12 min walk to the beach which had lovely sandy areas and was very quiet in May. The house itself was comfortable and the area outside was nice for evening meals or reading during the day. A well stocked kitchen and plenty of space for four people. Highly recommend hiring a bike and cycling to La Flotte, across the island, for an alternative 'take' on Il de Ré, with its pretty harbour and copious ice cream bars!
