“Fabulous welcome.”

This was the last 2-night stay of an 18 day tour of France and and northern Spain, selected for its proximity to Monet's garden. We loved everything about it and the host, Sophie, couldn't have made us more welcome. As well as the garden, we took a trip to the nearby town of Vernon: and a short walk up the hill behind the village where we enjoyed the wildflowers and the birdlife, including hawfinch, turtle dove, black woodpecker and cirl bunting - all rare or absent from the UK. We'd love to come back one day.

The location was beautiful. The host was friendly and informative about things to do in the area. The apartment was modern and well equipped.

We loved staying at Le Verger de Sophie. It was quiet, peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The apartment was superb and all facilities excellent. Very clean and lovely. We even received wine and food for free from our host. Speaking of the host, Sophie is a wonderful host. We had been travelling in Normandy and Brittany for two weeks, and no one came even close to her excellent hospitality.

“Superb stay at a lovely Gite”

The gite was lovely and spotlessly clean. Situated in a safe neighbourhood close to the local attractions. The host, Sophie, was very friendly and could not do enough for us. It was all the little touches that made it so special, from homemade jam to homemade cider, which were freely given to us. I would highly recommend

Lovely place, great setting and all facilities we needed were excellent . The host was great and very attentive , sadly we stayed only one night on the way back to UK as we were pass by visiting Monet gardens at Giverny which are just few minutes drive away. Host provided us with complimentary brioche bread, home made cider and jam plus milk and some butter for our breakfast in the next morning so we had a great stay at the place and would definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Lovely, modern built brick Chalet, furnished and decorated beautifully. Gleamingly clean and very comfortable with everything provided that you could need for a short, self catering stay. Good & secure parking. Very handy for Giverny & Monet’s garden. Sophie takes obvious pride in the excellent accommodation she provides. She also makes it perfect with generous personal touches, including treats & necessities in the fridge (butter, milk, beer, home-made jam,local cider) along with good coffee pods, a choice of teas and a gorgeous home-made apple cake and home-made biscuits. I can honestly say that Sophie is one of the kindest hosts I have ever encountered in many years of travelling. I arrived with a minor, but troublesome health issue and she did so much to help me, giving lots of info, along with practical help. She is just genuinely kind. Never had nicer accommodation anywhere.

A beautiful apartment with everything you could possibly need for a few days. Location is ideal and she even has e-bikes so you can cycle the Voie Verte.

“A real gem of a property near Givernay”

Everything was absolutely perfect. A beautiful, detached private space in a pretty garden. Electric bikes to borrow, a generous welcome pack (croissants & cider, home made apple puree a real treat), Sophie was a warm and helpful host that made our stay very special. The apartment was spotless and airy, very modern with everything you needed. We certainly want to come back and highly recommend it. Very convenient for Givernay, just 7 minutes drive away.

Le Verger de Sophie is an exceptional place to stay. Sophie is a wonderful host who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had all the information we needed to make the most of our stay in the area. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and extremely well thought out. It is situated in a lovely peaceful location. We wish we had booked to stay longer.

A beautiful place to stay. The hosts were so friendly and helpful the facilities were outstanding as were the provisions. We needed for nothing and even basic food provisions were provided. We were given local cider and home cooked cakes on arrival and offered local recommendations for places to visit and use. We were travelling the area and this was the best value and nicest place we stayed. We will be back to stay again for certain. Thank you!
