The host family was so very kind to us. We had to catch a ferry at the last moment (our mistake!) and they helped us carry our baggage downstairs and then drove us down to the dock! -- such a generous and gracious thing to do!! I enjoyed the location so much -- was able to walk all over St. Pierre and see the sights -- even got to watch a petanque match that was already in progress. A magical experience to be on the island.

We had awesome experience at Marie Jo's. The hosts Marie and Ludovic are super friendly and helpful. I hurt my foot on the way to St Pierre and they took me to the local hospital and waited 2 hours while I was having X-ray and medical procedures. It was overwhelmingly nice from their side. During the stay we enjoyed their company and had a lot of fun together, we felt like in a family. This was one of our traveling experiences to never forget.

The room had the toilet 3 feet from the bed with only a curtain for privacy. In the room was the shower, the sink and a small desk. The hosts were very nice. We should have complained to them but just tried to tough it out. The breakfast was the same for 3 days, toast, toasted baguette, and a croissant. Jam and cheese were provided.

Breakfast was all breads - no yogurts, fruits or anything of sort. The location was great.

Marie Jo and her husband were very pleasant, we do not speak French and they do not speak English but we made out ok.

This friendly, warm couple graciously welcomed us into their comfortable home. They encouraged us to use our long-forgotten high school French from 50 years ago! There was a spectacular view to the ocean from the dining room during delicious and informal breakfasts.
